The Official Alan Pardew Excuses Thread
High Five o replied to WarrenBartonCentrePartin's topic in Football
It begins. Tired, well aint that some shit. -
watch Your blood pressure Its all good. Just a bit frustrated when i think about football, NUFC in particular.
-
FFS Pardew, same shit every day! Sounds like we are a club with 6000 at the matches and that its a remarkable thing we are in the PL. Such a spineless bastard cunt. Sick of everyone at the club talk us down like that, not any ambition to be seen anywhere...
-
No Question for you: is anyone currently involved at NUFC in a management/executive or playing capacity doing a satisfactory job? Where does the buck stop for that? No. On the playing side the buck stops with the manager. On the Non playing side it stops with the Owner. And who appoints the manager/is ultimately responsible for every aspect of the club, be it on or off the pitch? Yeah, that is obvious. But still, Pardew is doing a shit job, as our owner. I am 100% sure a good manager would do better with the squad we have. 100%

And if/when we don't It'll be another excuse for our failure. An "excuse" or an explanation? I'm getting tired of people pointing to injuries, lack of squad depth, lack of Premiership experience, etc. as ready made "excuses" for Pardew, as if he enjoys being in this situation where he's asking for certain things, and is not given them, as it will let him off the hook somehow. It won't. I'm pretty sure Pardew, or any manager, would prefer to be given the tools required to do the job, rather than having to rely on inferior players in the "eventuality" of injuries, suspensions, etc. We have played one match, and we're already three squad (arguably first team) players down for the upcoming matches, on top of the players that were sold this summer. Our squad is weak in quantity and quality if our aim is to finish in the top 8. Yes, our manager is poor as well, no doubt about it, but by continuously ignoring his requests for investment in the squad, and for specific attributes like Premiership experience, they are hanging him out to dry imho. [/rant] He's s***. f*** him. We're the ones who suffer. Our lousy manager matches our recruitment policy. I don't disagree. We have a shit manager. Who appointed him? And who stood by him after a very disappointing season, without backing him in the transfer market (again)? We have a trainwreck of a Director of Football. Who appointed him? We have an underweight squad both numerically and in terms of quality for a club with ambitions of European football. Who assembled it? The whole thing is rotten to the core. The manager, the DoF, the lightweight squad, they are all symptoms rather than the actual disease. Pardew himself is a huge problem, make no mistake, but we all know who comes next, and there is absolutely no chance any self respecting top class manager would be willing to work under these conditions. This club has so much potential, and it's all going to waste under Ashley. Sums it up quite well As long as we have him a a owner, what can we expect?

HBA as playing manager for the rest of the season pls That would be something riight? He is the main reason i look forward to our matches these days, sad but true.

Newcastle United vs West Ham United - Sat 24th August @ 3pm (not on TV)
High Five o replied to Dave's topic in Football
We will win it, 3-1 -
It's the no fight part that gets me. Pardew through and through. Ay, but seriously, can we not save the negativity until we lose against W`ham? I had mentally prepared myself for a assrape against City, nothing change now that they are done with us tbh.

After a defeat for City, away?

We are turning into a empty shell of a club. There is literally no spine to be found anywhere within the club... -

The difference between LFC/Suarez and NUFC/Cabaye tells you a lot about the ambition really. Disgraceful. -
So much talk, so little action.

I do not like the Pardew football, but his drivel in the press is nearly worse imo. He have no input on transfers as far as we know, at least sales, so he could benefit by just shut it.... -

If he leaves, it will give us loads of £££. Think about all the fantastic players JFK can manage to get in with his unparalleled international network of scouts and managers + MA`s backing.
