  1. Czechs concede, and are down to 10.
  2. A massive rush of blood to the willy, there.
  3. Moldova scored the 4th with 10 men. You wonder why they bother.
  4. Great game in Sweden. 1-1 5 minutes ago, and it's now 3-2 to Sweden.
  5. I admire your persistence with this analogy you're trying to convey, IP.
  6. What odds did you get on the accy? Lot of teams but a fair few short odds. 1-0 Italy anyway.
  7. Oh I don't mean in here, just the football media in general. People love to say stuff like "England have never been technically good enough to compete with the likes of Spain" when it's a blatant misrepresentation of the facts. The commentators on BBC just now about Spain playing in Alicante - "they last played here ten years ago... and they've never lost" Lawrenson: "Well that's no surprise" - maybe it wouldn't be a surprise if they hadn't been shit for the last 50 years. Don't want to take anything away from the current team but their success at the moment has more to do with Barcelona's frighteningly good youth policy of the last ten years than Spain's general footballing culture. They've got a very long way to go to be considered up there with real giants of international football like the Brazilians, Germans and Italians imo. Oh, entirely agree. I'm paying less and less attention to what pundits/commentators have to say nowadays. Just can't be arsed with their infinite wrongness.
  8. 8 minutes and Spain are toying with them. And they almost equalise!
  9. Czech Republic are ahead too. Disastrous few minutes for Scotland.
  10. How many passes did Spain have before that goal? 50? 60?
  11. Ah shit, aye, it's all to do with whoever has the 4 best runners-up records. I think?
  12. Alright Armenia, fancy giving them any more help tonight?
  13. ATB, please update the tables manually goal by goal tonight.

    Arsenal

Who would you have replace him? I've thought about it several times, and while I'll admit my knowledge of foreign coaches is somewhat limited, I can't picture anyone to come in and do a good job. Where would Wenger go from here? Technical role with French National Squad? Think someone mentioned PSG on here which seems a good shout. National squad as well would be viable. As for who to replace him - not a clue!

    Arsenal

The issue with Wenger and Arsenal is separating what he has done for them in developing them as a club, and their recent lack of achievements. Wenger will be - and should be - seen as a revolutionary for Arsenal Football Club. But I'm not sure how you can see past their consistent failures in recent years. This isn't one bad patch. It is over 6 years without a trophy and more alarmingly for them, they don't look like winning one anytime soon. They've seriously regressed and as much as Wenger should be praised for what he's done for the club, you can't just magically look past him when they're struggling. Consistent stubbornness and poor signings - those are his responsibilities, not to mention an insane loyalty in mediocre youngsters. Thank you Mr Wenger for helping to deliver some superb football to watch for the netural, but for Arsenal, a parting in the ways is long overdue.
  16. Not currently delivering. Still got big hopes for him but I can only assume he has some sort of confidence issue. He has the look of a top-class player for years to come but often doesn't get on the ball and move with it and spray it about nearly as much as he should. Signs of him improving thus far this season but he needs to do an awful lot more before I'd be playing him for England. That said, if Henderson can get a cap... I thought he'd been doing alright, but I'll admit I haven't seen a great deal so you'll probably have a more accurate impression of him. Must have more about him then players like Henderson and Barry though? Not sure it's possible not to have more about yourself than those 2.
  17. Nah just hoy all your bets in here. Best to keep the thread in this section as the overwhelming proportion of bets are footy-related.
