It's not hate though, it's just laughing at him/finding it a bit odd that he's a proper beg about a club he barely played for, similar to the way Dubravka went on when he went to Man United on loan.
But that's the point, he could have supported them from when he was a kid and how many times he played for them is irrelevant
-
I don't get the Enrique hate, bit odd
So he loves Liverpool, why is that an issue? Maybe he's always supported them and only started to show it after he retired
Just because he played more for us doesn't mean he needs to like us more, would be a strange rule that
Bigger picture is he was class for us and I'm not too critical of anyone wanting to leave Mike Ashley's Newcastle United, we had plenty of fans that walked away so a footballer doing the same is understandable

It was Weghorst, and it wasn't offside. Goal should have stood.
Are you on a windup?
Weghorst was clearly offside

Rigg's who we're after isn't it?
Yes

They have a year extension should they want to activate it.
Ah, didn't know that. Guess they have some security there.

If he's stretchered off and it's his achilles, then it sounds real bad. Could be season ending, if not longer. Also going to impact what kind of fee they'll get next season.
Leeds lad will need to step up quickly.
Out of contract in the summer isn't he? So they'll get nowt

Never nice when a player gets injured, you'd think this will humble the doylems on RTG
Though, somehow I doubt it
-
Aye, it's a bit strange they made so many changes

If we get Ashby, surely Manquillo will be allowed to leave too?
In the summer aye, makes no sense to let him go now as he provides cover at LB, plus Ashby wouldn't take a squad place until next season

Guess we'll just have to sign him on a pre-contract for when his contract ends in the summer then. Shame.
Can't do an official pre contract until he is in the final month of his contract
No doubt we can and probably will agree something unofficially

I see they're playing mental gymnastics on the Gordon signing over there. Three threads in one day (one already parsnipped, other two no doubt to follow). Current discussion on FFP, Maxi is shit snd they would rather have their cheap signings, loans and championship level players. I've never see a fan base more broken
At least they are no longer going with the line "that ownership is not what it seems, they won't spend"
They are now going with calling everyone we sign shite
It's hilarious seeing them lose it (I say seeing, sadly don't fully get to enjoy it because they are a bunch are sensitive doylems)
-
I'd be shocked if we got £12m for Fraser, think it will be closer to £5m
-
I've always spoken positively about Gordon as a player, never understood those saying he's shite.
So no revisionism from me as I am happy with the signing, as I think Howe can really elevate his game.
The fee I admit is a touch high based on what I think he's worth but it's not my money so need to stop giving a shit. We've employed some serious people who can worry about the intricacies of FFP so I'll try and not care too much.
As things stand, Wood out, Gordon in, are we overall better? I think so.

Must be someone else I'm thinking of then.
Maybe Lavia? Who joined the other South Coast club Southampton in the summer from Man-City
Apparently Chelsea tried to then sign him on towards the end of the window

Haven't brighton just signed him this summer gone?
Nah, 2 years ago in the Jan window

I know Arsenal had a few players rotated but I think this shows how close it’s going to be in the end. Still got to play City twice in the league.
This match demonstrated to me why it won't be close.
City only missed Ederson from their starting eleven whereas Arsenal missed Martinelli, Odegaard, Zinchenko, Saliba, White and Ramsdale.
City didn't dominate them. This will give Arsenal confidence and especially at the Emirates I think they'll be the better side and beat City

It's a minor amount in this case, but anyone know if contract extensions can reduce the fee for FFP purposes?
This from Swiss Ramble on twitter shows that it does, this was when Umtiti had his contract extended. Looks like the value amount is spread across more years.
So would make sense to extend Bruno's so his amortisation amount decreases
-
Lovely finish by Ake
-
In that Tripps interview he's asked a question about Miggy. Might be putting 2 and 2 together but wondering whether we get a Miggy contract announcement soon.
-
I don't think there was any danger of him leaving but this is nice to see
He's never been quick or reliant on pace so he easily has a couple of years left in him at the top
Think it's important we get a young understudy in who can provide support with a view to eventually taking that spot
-
The signing doesn't make me do cartwheels, probably more because he's so punchable and the amount of money
But I've said in the past I think he has some raw attributes and I trust Howe to get him performing well. Also I need to stop thinking about the money, it's not mine and I need to care less about it
-
I see Colback is still giving away dumb fouls
-
Shame that, Forest were playing reasonably well. Tie well and truly over
-
Shame Surridge didn't make more of that, would have been class if that rat was at fault for conceding

Never seen him play or know too much about him but seems like a sensible signing.
Our scouts clearly rate him. He won't take a squad place until next season so Howe and the coaching team can get a real close look at him to see if he can really be a legit backup for Trippier.
