Thing that was interesting there was the VAR seemed to draw the line from the defenders boot to the Wolves player, however the ball looked to be ahead of the defenders boot so the line should have been drawn there.
It may still have been offside, I'm not sure, but they definitely seemed to draw the line wrong, think that was what O'Neil was asking the 4th official too
The ball was behind the blue line (defenders foot) so if they drew it from the ball it would still have been disallowed
-
It seems harsh but ultimately it was the correct decision
Until they change the law to allow such goals to stand we'll always see such goals disallowed

Never thought I'd want Arse to win the title, but might have to accept it. It's increasingly looking like City will continue to struggle, Villa fans hate us and would be annoying if they grab a title before us, and Liverpool and their fans are just awful on a different level altogether.
I would ordinarily agree but Arsenal fans have become absolutely insufferable in the previous 12 months or so
Ideally City get their act together because Klopp winning is hardly appealing either

What is the point of that shin pad?

Him getting away with the FA Charge will have emboldened him, he'll become an even bigger prick

FFP only includes playing and managerial staff right? We can pay everyone else what we want.
When you say everyone else do you mean Ashworth, scouts etc? If so then surely those are included as they are part of the club

Cant wait for Liverpool/Man U later.
Same, Man U are going to get a pasting

The saves he had to make were fairly straightforward and straight at him but he definitely looked more assured in general, claimed crosses well
-
He was superb today, his involved in the Miley and Burn goals were class
-
He's incredible, chuffed he got his first goal, that too at home as well
Not even 18 and he has a goal and assist to his name already
I love the position he takes up in the right hand side of the pitch but the bit I really like is if he decides to turn back it's one touch and he's facing that way, limited players take a couple of touches at least before turning back, being able to do it in one moment is what puts someone on a different level

2-0 Everton, Keane with the goal
Going to be a long evening for Burnley

Do people think we'd qualify from the group stage if we're in any other group?
Apart from Group C I think we go through from any of the other ones

The doylem that does the flag has posted it on RTG but unfortunately need to be logged in to see the image
I honestly don't know what they were expecting, even if KLD hadn't donated it, you think he's stupid enough to piss off a wealth fund he will no doubt want to do business with

- Beale all but confirmed as manager, days after they were getting giddy about Will Still
- We have been given 6k tickets when they were hoping it would be a maximum of 2k
- The display they had planned, which wasn't to support their own team but take a dig at the opposition owners was rejected
Brutal day for them

And it’s not like he’s starting every game there either. If he comes, he would be getting about the same playtime as he’s getting at Feyenoord, especially if Murphy isn’t coming back for sometime.
Prior to his injury he was a regular starter, would come off around 60 mins or so, he started 5 out of 6 games
Then since he's been back it's 2 starts from 5
It's better for his development if he stays there and maybe better for our relationship with Feyenoord
Plus even if he came back he'd possibly miss most of Jan anyway due to AFCON

I get they want as little of us there as possible but their reaction seems massively over the top
All of their season ticket holders will get to watch the game, even if a few have to sit elsewhere
-
I see they've taken this news really well

You genuinely think Chelsea want to win the cup to get into the conference league ?
They aren't getting CL or Europa so I reckon they'd be delighted with conference league, just to be back in Europe again
-
Maybe I'm naive but whilst the owners want us to be the best and very quickly I think they've shown in their time here that they are very switched on
All things considered we are having a good season
- We've made it to the QF of the League Cup having had to face Man City and Man Utd away, next up is Chelsea away
- We got the toughest CL group by far and we gave it a real good go, at half time of the final game we were heading to the CL R16 and with about 5 mins to go we were heading to the EL R16, and this too after we were on the end of a shocking decision in the previous game
- We are 7th in the league and only 4 points off 5th place so it's still in touching distance
And we've done this with an brutal injury situation, even if we had half the injuries I think the above situation is better, reckon we'd be at least 5th and still in the CL. That's not the fault of Howe, especially when you consider the type of injuries we've had, it's just shit luck.
Now, we are entering a crucial period because in 6 games times we could be out of both cups and drop further in the league but equally we could still be in both competitions and maybe moved up a spot or two. Regardless of which it is I think calling for Howe to be gone would be absurd and I don't feel there will be the threat of his job going.
Even if it turned out to be a "disappointing" season I think he has enough credit in the bank for that to be allowed and be given further tools to go again next season.

The past set of games have been brutal with our injury situation but the absolute standout joy of it has been Miley
He's played more than he would have but he's looked better and better with each game
With players coming back Howe will no doubt ease the minutes and that's probably the right thing to do but what's clear is that he is very much a first team player
I absolutely love his ability to control the ball even under pressure, often a pass will be fizzed into him and he kills it dead with a control or he controls it into space and there aren't many players on the pitch for us that can do that
Excited to see how he continues to develop
Other games (2024/25)

I want Liverpool to win but it's one of those fixtures where I'd be happy with any outcome
