  1. wish Orwell was still around to turn the extreme policing of RAWK and state of denial amongst the dippers into a novel.

:spit: this thread over last week or so has been f*ckin hilarious also i dont see why cant beat this lot next week and possibly go 11 points clear of them lmao oh Jose dont you look stupid now and i quote.......

“This club will never again fight to be among the top six with this policy.” - Jose Enrique on #NUFC (2011)

You never know they could be only 2 points behind us after next weeks game  :scared:

  2. A fair few of the reserves will be released at the end of the season, must be odd playing a bunch of guys who have no future at the club

Along with promoting some of the youngsters we will need a buy a few more kids to beef up the reserves

  3. Pele wasn't as dominant in his era as Messi is now, maybe domestically against Brazilian pub teams, but he always had the likes of Garrincha and Eusebio up there with him.

Call it pub teams and then mentions Garrincha who played for one of these pub teams. And then forgets he still won three World Cups that he played in which at the time was the biggest you could win (still is imo but many think CL). Shouldve been every year and he wouldve won it 10 times. ;)

Oh and Pele went to play Eusebio and his Benfica (classed as one of the best teams in Europe of all time) and Pele scored 5 goals in 2 games while Eusebio managed 1. One year before he went to San Siro and played Maldini and trappatonis European Champions and scored twice. Both times he won the Intercontinental Cup.

Also these pub teams youre talking about that he played against, Penarol, Independiente and these were the teams that bummed all of the European teams in the early 60s in Intercontinental Cups.

People underestimate the size of South American league football, just because it aint as strong today as it used to be. Pubteams you mention were the best team in the World, and Pele was the greatest of them all.

I don't know why you're saying all this, Garrincha and Eusebio were considered up there with Pele for many years, no one has been considered up there with Messi, maybe someone will come along, who knows.

Because, CRonaldo, Iniesta, Xavi, RVP etc. are all there man. Pele was so much ahead of the others its crazy. Garrincha 2nd best player at the time was uncomparable to Pele. Pele went and scored three against them in the Libertadores when Botafogo had players such as Zagallo, Garrincha, Nilton Santos, Jairzinho. It would be like Messi beating a team consisting of CRonaldo, David Silva, Iniesta, RVP and himself playing with Danny Simpson, Mike Williamson and so on.

I refuse to believe the Brazilian league had players like Simpson and Williamson

  4. Messi the all-time Barcelona goalscorer...at 24 and also bettering his goal tally from last season with 54 goals and something like 10 possible games left to play. Just how good is he going to get ffs!? 2 years ago the things we were saying seem like exaggerations now, considering he hasn't plateaued at all. He's f***ing preposterous.

every time messi breaks another record or wins another award i can't help but wonder how cristiano ronaldo feels about it all, assuming the stats are right he's scored 45 from 41 this season and they're very likely to win the league but no-one bats an eyelid about him

couldn't happen to a nicer fella

42 from 40 for Ronaldo BUT aye he is being massively overshadowed by Messi, though if they win the League (pretty much in the bag) and the CL it might change things a bit
