I can understand why he didn't want to change the defence/midfield as they were no doubt in the zone and each had their defensive duties to not interfere with one another
Isak was running on empty, at the time I did feel having Parkinson on to just run along the pitch would have made sense. Not like Isak was seeing the ball and when he did he would just give it away (iirc he gave it away just before Dembele put that cross in)

The handball law definitely needs to be changed
Even if the guidance of deflecting off the body wasn't implemented (would be strange how the PL and other leagues have it but not the CL) that shouldn't be a penalty, the proximity alone should rule it out

Forget VAR and have 2 referees and 4 linesmen so the refs only have to cover half of the pitch and there is always a linesman on both sides.. It's very easy to misinterpret what took place when reviewing it in slow motion as some angles can show a different situation
Adding 3 more people on to the field won't help
Remember when they trialled having extra officials on the touchline near the goal? They were pointless as they were scared to make a decision
-
So then why wasn't the Miley one given?
The officials have simply caved in and bottled it
Ref/linesman made the correct call and then someone thinks that was a clear and obvious error, madness

Did he backheel it off Mbappe and out for a throw at one point in the first half or did I imagine that? Things you thought you'd never see.
Aye, he definitely did that, was quality

Strangely I'm less annoyed than I was last night. Not exactly sure why, maybe it's cos we still got a point or that we still have a chance to go through or just want to focus on the effort of the players or I don't want us to be whingey twats like Arsenal fans.
Hope we batter Man U, that will help fully get over it.

Noticed a couple of times, at least, he sent a decent pass into space that wasn't read by his colleagues. 1st half, in particular, he received the ball over our right midfield under pressure, turned and fired the ball into their half. Neither Isak, who it was meant for, or Gordon reacted in time. Would've been clean through.
Yes, that touch/movement was so good, that's the kind of thing that makes you realise he can become a top player

I'd be interested to hear the discussion between the VAR and the referees
Also, I found it strange the ref wasn't shown the other angle, where it's even more clear that it hits his stomach first
Though, regardless even from the replay he got it was clear it hit his chest first

Hauled off after 64 mins but Feyenoord’s best player according to FotMob with a 7.4 rating. Had 1 shot on target, 86% pass completion so it’s something I guess.
And completed 8 out of 10 dribbles

Fair play to Howe, he has every right to react like Arteta but he's amazingly calm
-
Going to be a long second half
No idea what changes Howe will make, if any, so hope the players can last the 55 mins or so

Kind of crazy how much we actually ended up needing him this season. If we knew what we know now, maybe we wouldn't send him on loan. Who would've thought.
If we had a spot available for him in the PL squad that is, I guess maybe not?
He's 19 so wouldn't take a squad space
However sending him on loan was the right thing for his development

Where is this match being shown?

Didnt have Sela last season?
Oh yeah, no idea what I was thinking
Guess the jump will be a bit more modest in terms of commercial revenue then, overall revenue should still be decent thanks to finishing 4th and always being on TV
23-24 we'll have Sela and then 24-25 we'll have Adidas so big jumps to come

In the 21/22 season we did have half a year with bigger amortization/contracts cost and a full year with Mike Ashley revenue though, so probably will be helpful to get it off the books when I think about it.
But the 22/23 season will be even better, even if we finished 4th. Still had low commercial revenue.
For 2022-23 we should still see a decent jump in commercial revenue, Sela alone should account for about £20m increase and then you have all the other smaller deals we did

Felt like he was relieved he made up for the mistake.Yeah, that's exactly how I saw it too
Relief and probably still annoyed with himself for the mistake

Funny what a big win does, cos I'm feeling far more optimistic about this now than I was before the weekend. It's possible that Dortmund just had our number; it's not beyond the realms of possibility that we've got PSG's. We did batter them.
Isak for me is the difference maker, not having him for Dortmund was brutal and hurt us a lot
It's because of him I am quietly confident we can get a point, which I'd absolutely take
-
In terms of January, I guess how active we are will depend on the injury situation
If we get a fair few of the players back by then (and depending on Europe situation) our squad will suddenly look a lot stronger and able to cope with the second half of the season

Crazy thing is we can still win this group if we win out and Dortmund lose to PSG and Milan.
Not saying it's a prediction, more like this group is crazy. Must be fun for the neutrals.
It certainly is, just had a quick look at all the groups and our group has 3 points separating 1st and 4th, the next lowest amount of points between 1st and 4th is 7 points, which is in Group B and E
Just goes to show how tough and tight our group is

With the remaining 25 games can they outscore Luton by at least 5 points? I think they can and will
But it might look a bit scary at times, especially if Luton can grab the odd win away
They actually played well for a decent chunk of the game today once they managed to recover after conceding a wondergoal, should really have scored one of the numerous chances they created an they have been creating chances throughout the season so I don't see that suddenly changing
-
Man U going to get given a penalty here
-
Been impressed with that Mainoo kid, he looks very composed
-
The ref has been very generous to Man U

I think they were suggesting there was encroachment from a PSG player
No idea if that was the case though
