  1. Man-U have made an absolute mess of this situation

I think they were probably expecting the court to sort the situation, him be convicted and they can then dump him without worrying about any financial implications

However, the moment the charges were dropped they had a decision to make and a club of their size the correct stance would have been to dump him and deal with any consequences, he takes them to court? So what, they piss money up the wall on signings, I'm sure they could handle him

If anything, if they dumped him he would have quietly disappeared off abroad, after being dumped by Man-U there isn't a club that takes him on

Instead, they've tried to get him back cos he's talented but have misjudged the entire situation

And now they'll dump him anyway but they'll have done it not because it was the right thing to do but because they'll have gotten grief from "hostile" parties

  2. US Presidents are far worse than MBS but that's a separate discussion.

Him attending a game would just be asking for trouble though, don't see a single benefit to it whilst the grief we as a club would get would be enormous.

Whilst I don't give a shit what others think I wouldn't want Eddie or the players being asked about MBS attending a game instead of being asked about football.

I looked at the Leeds lineup a few weeks back and thought they should walk this league, but now, their starting lineup looks ropey as all hell.

    Yeah

Gnonto, Summerville and Sinisterra looked like it would cause havoc

For various reasons they don't have any of them

Shut up man, what does that mean? Wankers, the lorra them. People still know how to be human beings.

In the second episode (not sure if you've watched it yet) but you definitely see a lot more of the humanity side from Staveley

However, wealthy Tories are hardly going to be raker people, so not sure what you was expecting on that front

Livramento is far more proven than Hall.  Hall is similar to Livra pre Soton which was a £5m fee or similar.

    Not really similar

Livramento never made a senior appearance for Chelsea, only had a year left on his contract and wasn't signing an extension, they got £5m and both a buy back and sell on clause

Hall is way more "proven", played around 10 games of senior football and still has a number of years left on his contract

I think getting him for £30m would be a very good deal, obviously he hasn't played a lot of football but I've been impressed with him whenever he's played and I think Howe could work wonders with him

  6. On Maguire to West Ham, I see Man-U fans giving him stick, they could just accept a lower fee from West Ham

Wasn't the first reported bid meant to have been £20m, which frankly was very generous

They’ve sold like £300-400m haven’t they? They’re fine for a long long time.

Not quite that much though probably have a few more they can sell

Whilst it's a decent amount sold they've spent around £800m in 12 months, something has to give

  8. On Chelsea it will be interesting to see what their next set of accounts look like

Obviously, they've sold since but it should be an indicator as to how much they lost and what they needed to do from an FFP perspective
