So I gather not many of you are looking forward Saturday then!

Just for some info against 'boro we weren't at our best but as with all our games our grit and determination paid off. Boro knew they had to win to remotely have a chance of staying up and they came at us - but still couldn't score.
Just so you know the 3 teams who have managed to win at the Brit this season were Manure, Chelski and Everton - none of them convincingly. So whatever happens at the weekend the one thing you can be damn sure of is we'll fight for everything and won't stop for 90minutes.
Also you'll be glad to know that not only do we now have our strongest front pairing of Fuller and Beattie fit, but for the first time this season at WBA yesterday we were able field our strongest midfield lineup for the 1st time (Etherington, Delap, Whelan and Lawrence).
On top of this our back 4 (5 with Sorrensen) has been unchanged for god knows how many games . .
You'll get the full treatment of Fuller and Beattie, Lawrence and Etherington on the wings and Delaps bombs from the touchline . . . numerous teams have put 5 at the back when visiting (Boro for one) to try and defend our set pieces. Let put it this way if your back line isn't up for a battle then it might be a very long 90 minutes!
Also the atmosphere is going to be absolutely electric since the return of your Messiah part 2 (or is it 3?) numerous media outlets have been talked about the game that you'll just turn up for the points - let alone 'too big to go down' and 'premier league needs Newcastle' (at the expense of Stoke) s**** - particularly the horsestarver Quinn. So let just say they've put many noses out of joint in the Stoke support and your bunch will be in for 90 minutes of pure abuse.

The atmosphere is s**** every f***ing week bar the Leazes corner.
To be fair the Leazes Corner has been a bit of a flop. The old informal gathering in L7 made more noise.
The singing section is part of the problem. The rest of the ground has been stripped of it’s ‘cheerleaders’. There used be little pockets of people all around the ground who’d help chants spread. Now they’re so few and far between it’s becoming a waste of time even trying.
The atmosphere yesterday was really poor.
Don't be silly. The reson the atmosphere is cack these days is because nobody outside the Leazes Corner will sing. The Leazes Corner has been far better the the couple of blocks in the Leazes L7 last year. I thought the LC was pretty good yesterday until Chlesea scored, then the atmosphere went a bit flat but other than that it was loud.

I don't think Wise was contributing anything of note really. We were already bringing in young talent prior to his appointment (Ngo Baheng, Zamblera and Kadar). Seems to me that Vetere found the players, Wise gave him the green light to sign them and then took all the credit.

Fact of the matter is we brought in three people - Wise, Vetere and Jiminez. The latter two are renowned the world over for their scouting and deal breaking abilities, so much so that they've worked for Real Madrid. Dennis Wise is an unsuccessful manager/former player who met Mike Ashley via their shared lawyer who has no notable reputation for discovering young talent. I think it's safe to assume that Vetere did more 'scouting' than El Den.
Don't worry. There all outside SJP flaunting their singing talents to David Craig.

There's absolutely no evidence that Dennis Wise has done anything wrong during his time at the club.
It's easy to hate him because of the odious little cock he is in person, but he seems to have been doing a decent job IMO.
Mike Ashley running the club on whims and based on the fickle protests of the fans might well turn out to be much more dangerous than him running it with restrictions on the manager's spending.
