  1. They'll be fine come the weekend. Wise words. Who do you guys want to win this arvo? Or is it the draw/several injuries/red cards galore?
  2. Funny you should say that. I'm trying to avoid doing work, so I picked a few teams and looked at their third round draws over the last 5 years. All pretty run-of-the-mill (lots of home draws for Sunderland, lots of away draws for Newcastle) but the Chelsea draws look suss!: Spurs H Champ H Prem H Prem A Champ A Champ Newcastle A Champ A Prem A Champ A Champ H League 2 Everton H Lgue 1 A Lgue 2 H Lgue 1 H Prem A Champ Villa H Prem A Lgue 2 H Prem A Prem A Champ Arse A Prem H Champ A Champ A Prem H Champ Chels H Champ H Lgue 1 H Champ H Lgue 2 H Lgue 1 Man U H Lgue 1 A Champ A Prem H Prem A Non-league Sunderland H Non-l H Prem H Prem A Champ H Non-league Man C A Champ H Champ A Prem A Champ H League 1 Liverpool H Champ A Champ A Lgue 1 H Prem A Champ All at home and no Prem sides?
  3. I miss Berbatov. We'd have been fantastic with him over the last two years.
  4. This could get really horrible if they keep going.
  5. Yeah, Man U looking really, really good going forward. Good Rooney + good Berbatov = scary.
  6. Those red marks on his knees = start of frostbite.
  7. To be fair, we do get most of the games! I love the fact that the games are all starting, and it's only 10, the baby's on her first nap already and I've seen one full game.
  8. Teams are defending better. Apart from Arsenal, obviously.
  9. Let's have some sendings-off now. Cracking game.
  10. He actually darted left then right to try to look round him! Still, pathetic defending to not close down Clark, and you could argue that makes up for the pen.
  11. Terrible injury problems in centre-mid. That's why they got Pires in. They've got two very young and inexperienced players out there in CM, one of whom isn't really a CM anyway. They could still get something here by keeping it tight and hitting Arse on the break - after all their domination Ashley Young had the clearest chance before the goal and Villa could have had a penalty.
  12. Unlike you One typo. f*** off you retard. Realise-->release is only one typo if you type with your palm. I seriously think that Villa can do Arsenal second half if they go gung ho. Have to play 442, surely? Edit: Sorry, typo, in wrong thread.....
  13. If he gets a kick. Thing is, Arsenal can look pretty toothless without Fabregas and Van Persie. If Villa can just keep it tight at the back (and they're capable) then I can see them catching Arsenal on the break or from set pieces. The longer the gamr goes on without an Arsenal goal, the more nervous they'll become.
  14. Christ, Hughton is getting a really shitty ride. I'm amazed he wasn't given a number two within a week, puts a huge amount of pressure on him.
  15. Someone rubbish at home for us. I'm one of those who wishes they didn't post the numbers at all, would much rather keep that bit of mystery.

    Sunderland...

Doesn't that actually suggest a more balanced outlook? If someone told me that I could guarantee finishing above Arsenal if I accepted a 5-1 loss at the Lane then yeah, I'll take that.
  18. More like, Bassong, Gallas, Kaboul and you still need a CB ?? Anyway, bodywise Spurs are well covered if not overloaded. Their future transfers need to be real quality like VDV or young talents like Gareth Bales, otherwise it will be pointless. Quite. This January will be a strange window. Most people have to sell to buy, even Man City will have to unload some players from their squad. Blackburn may now have a little money to spend, and the talk is of Randy Lerner giving Houiller a wodge, but who else?
  19. That's what I figured. I didn't think we were particularly good yesterday, but the result camouflaged that.
  20. Did anyone watch the game yesterday? Were they actually rubbish? I know they lost, but they had 32 shots to 3, and 16 corners to 4. I know their job is to break the oppo down, but it looks like the bus-parking exercise to end all bus-parking exercises.
