Quite a world cup this
-
If they want to win the champions league they'll need to improve their squad, so I think he's a good signing. People forget how good Mahrez was a few seasons ago & how he's largely been waiting to move for a couple seasons also. Guardiola has Sterling scoring 18 a season, Mahrez was already capable of that. He could go up to another level at City with motivation again. Who knows.

Lukaku is superb there
-
Watch entire first half and nowt, go out for half an hour and four goals man. Missed the lot. Belgium will go through and beat Brazil also.
-
Belgium are finalists minimum, quality will tell
-
Really havent been that impressed by Neymar so far. His contributions have been tapping the ball in twice & that break away there against an open defence. Willian looked more effective in this game & was the one that actually opened it up.
-
Mexico surely have to go for it a bit in these last 10 mins. Broke away there and had one man in the box.
-
 Neymar should've been booked for that seriously, absolutely ridiculous
-
I think Lukaku can score against these, id expect Belgium to win if both go through
-
Mexicos build up play then was superb
-
Jorgensens saved his side there
-
They wont get past Croatia. Croatia are very strong, probably finalists.
-
Think i'm one of the people you're referring to there & i'm fine with that. You play the sides that are put infront of you & try to win, Russia deservedly won.
-
It'll be France v Belgium in one semi final & Croatia v Colombia/England in the other. I'd expect Croatia v Belgium in the final
-
Love a pen shootout, Russia will 100% win it
-
Would be my expectation, had a feeling Russia would win it before the game.
-
Well we're all back on the same page now lets just hope we go for it & do well from here. I'll be impressed if we can get past Colombia & I've a feeling Rodriguez will make a miraculous recovery. That Quintero lad aswell may have a say. Kane could be the difference for us though. Kane is the player we haven't had for a long time.

Miles better in terms of what though? It's avoiding the entire point of the tournament & taking loads of things for granted. Wrong way to look at it all. What's the entire point of the tournament? Winning it? Surely the easiest route to the final makes the entire point of the tournament more achievable Surely the point is to be able to call yourself the best side in the world? Are you achieving that by being scared of playing half the sides in it & hoping other teams knock them out for you? It's a really embarrassing way of looking at it in my opinion and a bit concerning how many want to win something in that manner. Do you hope we pull Shrewsbury Town at SJP in the third round of the FA Cup or Chelsea away? Not the same though is it, this is a straight tournament whereby one result potentially affects the following result. Also the FA cup isn't about being the best side in England. If that were the aim, then the point would be to be capable of beating all other sides in the country so you'd be fine with getting other big teams. Why's it different? It's a cup competition where you could play any team that was originally eligible to enter. It's directly comparable. My point is that unless you're the outright best team in the competition, then playing lesser ranked teams for as long as possible is clearly favourable to your chances of winning the tournament. We just seem to have a different idea about the idea of the tournament. If the singular goal were to win it, just to say you've won it then that's one way of doing it i suppose. But I see that in a similar manner as being given answers on an exam so that you can say you're now qualified in xyz. You're missing the actual value in what you're doing surely, which is to actually learn the subject you're being tested on. Where is the value or pride in winning a tournament you actively tried to fluke your way to a final. It's one thing if it just falls that way and you beat everything infront of you, but its a bit pathetic to try to claim to be a winner of something while running scared of those who could show that you aren't worthy of the title.

About a 80% chance we go out to Colombia now. Literally never goes well when you take the ease of playing other teams for granted & get ahead of yourself.
