We hit the post & were through one on one three times man before Carrolls chance at the end. We werent unlucky no, but blackpool were very lucky to play us on a day we had such a poor standard of finishing. On another day we put 4 in. Some of you go to far the other way when trying to put across what you think is a balanced pov. It wasnt our best performance no, we still had more than enough chances to win it easily.

His comments after the bpool game were more towards us not taking our chances rather than the team not creating/playing to the right standard. Second half anyway. He may just see it as an off day for our finishing & try again but have words about us starting with more tempo. Reckon Nolan will be starting. Be pleasantly suprised if he went for Ben Arfa in Nolans position, but he has nothing solid to go off in terms of how we'd play. Norm bases his ideas on what hes seen to be successful previously, so id expect it more if hed tried it towards the end of a game first. Who knows though, he hasnt had Ben Arfas to use before. I expect Smith will make way for Tiote though. Think Williamson, Simpson, hall all were given debut starts, so he seems to have more faith in changing defensive players.

Cant be giving him 15 mins. Hughtons sub timing is his one huge flaw. Ben Arfas introduction wouldve lifted all the crowd & players. Sounds like we battered them while he was on & came much closer to scoring several times.

Cant be puttin him back into midfield, awful decision. Wouldve liked to see Ben arfa off carroll, but sounds like Jonas was having a shocker

Most important thing is we react well to this game next week & adjust the team because of the performances.

We couldnt handle the pressure of being expected to win looks like to me.

Hughton not done well this game, just a learning experience. Have faith in him still, but poor game.
