Fitness and pace are two different things. He probably just needs stronger legs & he'd become quicker Campbell style. Rooneys a similar frame and can get some speed going if he needs to.

Just back now. Echo what many have said. Tiote was just class, so calm and such great control on the ball. Ben Arfa's level of skill & ability to beat a man is ridiculous, what a shot. Barton had a good game along with Williamson/Colo/Enrique & even perch being very organised at the back. Even watching Nolan showed he does make a good captain. They all listened to him & he was sorting out offside traps on the freekicks & all kinds. Getting players to close down their defenders, its all important. Ben Arfa looked very good in the middle though running at defenders. Good to have options. Clear pen btw. Great win.

Great listen. Also his comments on not understanding fowards who dont take pens, dont know why Carroll doesnt get on them and smash em home. Lack of confidence? It'll only help him to put himself in those situations.

Have you considered that the reason he gets so many assists is because of the movement of the chelsea players who are at a higher standard than most Shearer played with? Ofcourse not obviously. Its not a comparable situation, you cannot claim shearer was overeliant on others without knowing how Drogba would have coped in the same standard of team.

Their first goal was a pen & the 2nd came in the final mins when we had one at the back which they still nearly wasted. The through ball which produced the Harper saves was their best piece of play (No clearer than Nolans either), beyond that they made poor runs because they are poorer players. Its not undeserved in anyway is it. Our midfield was poor first half, their defence was bad in both. Somehow they deserved it more because of that.
