cant get any coverage whatsoever, joke.

To early to judge. Cant say Nolan wont get 10, he could already have had 5 in two games. Hopefully Ben Arfa comes into the side and improves us further. But i wouldnt write Nolan off as not having much use, his positioning inside the box opens up chances for himself and others & hes continued to look useful in the prem.

2 goals in 3 games, should have had an assist v wolves if carroll hadnt missed from 5 yards. Had 2 or 3 good chances saved also, coming off a similarly great goalscoring season in the championship to Carroll which may have renewed some confidence. On top of previous premier league experience in a side that finished in the top 6-8 seasons in a row, with him making an impressive contribution towards that. And you think you're in a position to write off his worth as a player in the future with that amount of conviction? You're talking bollocks.

I like to use that one for Jonas aswell yeah, is often why he holds the ball for to long

If by saying hes been crap you guys mean on select games outside of those that hes been very good, then we could extend that to every single player in the world. Thats not whats being suggested, its being suggested that overall in his time here the majority of the time hes been crap on the pitch up till this point which isnt true. I doubt that hes even played 5-7 games in a row badly. Hes either come in and often looked decent/very good or been out due to being an idiot or getting injured. His personality is obviously going to effect peoples opinion of him & thats what happened. Obviously he has to work harder to gain respect because of the things hes done outside of football, you dont generally look for the positives easily in someone that you dislike. You're ready to slam them for being utter twats.

my memory goes back through all of his time here. for what its worth i made him MotM against villa, i'll be honest and give credit when its due, i'll also say someone been crap when they've been crap. if you want mystic meggedness check my posts in the tiote thread where i said we'd getr ben arfa on loan on our terms ans no-one would be leaving. Ill say when theyre crap to. He was bad early part of last season, but then i dont stop at just deciding he is bad because of that. I look at what he was doing that made him bad, which was give the ball away because he was trying to be more creative than everyone else. He was very good in a good team for Keegan, the signs then were that he had quality. JJ7 is right to. The sunderland game when he came back was the start of a good period. The next against Wbrom was his first full game back & we got our first win in 8. With him providing an assist for the pen ameobi got & then putting it away himself. The next game we beat villa, again he got an assist for Martins and was involved in the majority of our attacking play. Two games later he's out via Cattermole until the pool game where hes sent off. All this "hes never looked that good for us" is a load of nonsense. People disliked him because he was barely playing & what happened off the pitch, then used that to put negatives on his ability. Was never accurate.

Agree with JJ7. There was never any solid basis for believing Barton wasnt a good player atall. Generally when he's played he's had more creativity than most around him. Even start of last season, his first few games back from injury he wasnt very good. But that was mainly because he was on the wing losing the ball when attempting through balls at a time when everything we did was lump it long.

Harper probably has the worst save to shot ratio though to even that up. I'm sure I read a tweet that we've allowed the least number of shots on target (6) in the PL. So 4 goals from 6 shots against pretty much backs that up. Its 6 without the goals. So conceded 4 from 10 sot in 3 games, still joint best with chelsea and Man u for sot against. Impressive though, especially as 7 came from Man utd.

you are different

Shouldnt be diving in atall, should just get tighter quicker. He has the pace to keep up easily.
-
Have got to teach perch not to dive in constantly, its clearly something he needs to work on
-
Cant see Nolan being easily dropped given his standing in our squad, not when hes getting goals anyway. I expect both he and Ben arfa will play in some way. I think Ben arfa's level of awareness for spotting runs would really suit loven to.

He knows theyre trying to do that sure, doesnt mean its in his best interest does it. He has more prem experience than the other two & has been just as good while earning less. He obviously saw that as putting him in a good position to negotiate a higher wage as he thinks himself valuable to the side. Williamson stepping up has put him in a weaker position, i doubt theyd have transfer listed him if we'd been on the end of 6-0 instead obviously. He may now lower his expectations, or another club may see more potential than we do milner style & offer what he wants. Think the whole situation is just normal & what ud expect.
-
Hardly outshone. He was purely injured, when he was in he did just as well as both Colo & Williamson. Thats probably the reason he feels he justifys a wage increase, because a defender whos shown a similar level of ability is likely on quite a bit more than he is. He probably sees that as a decent reason to negotiate a higher wage for himself which is understandable. Williamson has just cocked it up for him due to also showing a good level of ability, while again probably accepting a lower wage due to wanting to play football and prove himself finally. Neither side is in the wrong that much really imo.
-
Yes we will. Explain. We lose some depth, but I'm very happy with Willo and Colo. Its been two games. Wasnt long ago people were claiming Williamson was championship standard. Having depth is important in the prem, especially for a side with our injury history with one of the replacements approaching 36.

Got two assists, looked good on corners also. Just a very solid game.
-
Could have scored two goals. Nice movement, good pace, good performance.

Nolan really has that knack of right place right time down to perfection
