The playoffs would be inhumane. Just totally unbearable. Can't even fathom it. Playoffs would be Newcastle style though. We avoid the easy route at all times in everything.

You give all the credit to the defence and totally disregard the fact that Hughton opted for a 4-5-1 in a lot of those games? How come? Smith is clearly going to have to be in there without fail. He's not great but I dunno ... maybe that goofy scowl actually gets to some of the opposition. Away from home if we do play a 4-4-2 Nolan can under no circumstances be one of the two. If Nolan plays then it has to be a 4-5-1. Otherwise I'm not sure it will matter who is in our back four to be honest with you. but in those games we've been gradually getting worse, our performances for a couple of months have been pointing to this result. It's definitely been coming. Makes you wonder why everyone's so shocked. I think the game on friday got us all giddy again. The players seem to react better from crap performances. When they do well we perform at average in the next game, seems mental. They obviously take it to easily.

We've still not lost with a first choice back two. Colo was only doubtful for this one so should be back soon. We'll be fine.

Aye forest losing again is good news, lets not forget that. Their run of results is the only reason theres been any pressure on us and west brom. If they fall away we're sorted.

Just a one off unlucky game. They hit us on the break, then got the pen and have done us when we're pushing fowards. Didnt sound like that bad a performance. Prob worth starting loven next game and carry on where we left off v Cardiff.

To easy to be negative because we're losing and start pretending we deserve all the crap. We've had about 15 pen shouts in the last 8 games and had nothing. Theres obviously reasons for it, not that theyre dodgy. Obviously when our big lads are fouled the refs are far less likely to give it. Doesnt make it fair either.

They're top because they're better than us. Don't blame referees, blame our inability to beat teams when we have them on the rack and our inability to go away and perform. Something like 6 pens in their last 9 games. Then the decisions we've had against us. We're complete opposites in luck currently. Im sure if we were getting endless pens we'd do better away from home also. To get pens you need players with pace and a degree of skill. Yes theyve won them all purely through their outstanding ability. Give me a break.

Best we can hope for now is a scunthrope equaliser. Wouldnt be that bad then.

Seems like it. Front two obviously didnt work as well as against Cardiff, other than that the pens done us.
