Has 1 goal in his last 12 games for coventry according to soccernet
-
Wouldnt be suprised if we sneaked in a midfielder before close of the day
-
Leon best Definately the name of a lower prem standard quality striker
-
Two men upfront with 10 men Anyway may have gotten the side completely wrong, but atleast he bollocks their performances behind closed doors. Might actually have some control afterall, just needs to drop a few players now to prove it.
-
Or you could judge the signing after hes played for us a few times
-
Glad we got someone in. 9 in 15 is a good return. Looks like hes in his best season of form right now & we've brought him in during it. Hopefully does well like the others.
-
Agree. Colo has been no better than Taylor this season, dont see what people find so strange about trying those two.
-
Go on Arsenal
-
Nice goal that
-
I expect theyre waiting for Man city to make a bid.

Would you extend Harewood's loan until the end of the season?
Jayson replied to LoveItIfWeBeatU's topic in Football
Because Nolan no longer scores a few goals Id have taken Harewood back at this point, with other options falling through -
Its not his fault, but Hughton/the players do aim for his head endlessly when hes on the pitch & it isnt efficient with our midfield not supporting.
-
You mean like Routledge and Williamson
-
aye we should but he won't Seems more likely we will the way things have been going surely.
-
Job done. If improving our squad & the quality of our first team is happening purely because Ashley wants to show good intent, keep it coming.
-
How do you lot turn negative so quickly. Its one signing, we didnt get him. Move on, this window has shown good intent from Ashley & has been positive.
-
This is what id hope The last time he pulled off a lineup that bad was against Barnsley. Same negative 4-5-1 & the start of our recent run of bad results & he clearly didnt learn from that.

Some of these reactions

Long ball football only works when the midfield support the strikers, ours dont. Hughton overlooked how well theyd compliment his attacking gameplan for how efficient he thought theyd be defensively. Mainly leaving flicks ons for Nolan as our only way to use longballs effectively. Nolan being a player who couldnt be more easily marked out of a game. The last 10 minutes of the game showed signs of what we should be doing more often for the rest of it. Getting players foward to support when we get it up, which pulls back their players to mark them so theyre not overun. Then down the other end theyre short on numbers so when they clear it 80% of the time it goes right back to us. We continue to pressurize etc. Essentially what they did to us for a good 10 mins before they lost a man. Just apply attacking pressure, support and dont let up.
-
Not atall. Put about 3/4 seperate moves passed along the ground from defence right through the middle, across wing, to striker, back to central midfield etc. Actually knocking the ball around.
-
Loven and Ameobi. Lovens stats when started upfront are actually much better than that, similar to Ameobis. You've given Carroll to many goals also.
-
Have to say, the first 10/15 mins of the game yesterday contained some of the best passing football we've played all season when we were keeping it down and moving. It all went wrong when we got a little pressure & started panicking and clearing it long. Then started pointlessly chipping every pass to other players chest/head & we lost all momentum.

You can see why Liverpool let him go. He's weak as piss and loses the ball far too easily. That's the point. But how's that relevant at all? Liverpool let him go because he's not good enough for Liverpool, he is good enough for us. He isn't good enough for us for the same reasons he was allowed to leave Liverpool. Like I said he's too weak and loses possession and hope. He can't even make a mark dropping down a division. All this bollocks about him being played out of position doesn't excuse him for losing 50/50's and not being able to hold the ball under the slightest pressure. It does really when he has little option, what movement is he surrounded by so he can offload the ball?

Keegan was the one who saw premiership potential in him, thats why he brought him in. Any of those west brom midfielders next to our lot would look poor. You cannot expect him to dominate a well working midfield on his own.
