Did you see the goal? He didnt gain much advantage atall, he just came in from offside did a bit of skill and sent it back the other way. He was infront of the defender long enough to be tackled. If you're back infront of the defence you've not gained an advantage beyond them not paying attention to where you're coming from.

One thing i dont think should be offside is the Ameobi situation the other day. When a foward comes back from an offside position but recieves the ball infront of the defence. Once hes back infront of the defence he has gained no advantage, if the defence doesnt know hes behind them thats their issue. Dont think those should be called offside atall.

Its different kinds of players to. Ferguson demands high standards & fills them full of self belief so its not that hard a hit when he knocks them down. Our lot are capable of falling apart, as last season showed. They need to be built up & have confidence kept high. Dont think hes doing much wrong.

I used to hate when goals were ruled out because a winger on the far side no where near anything was standing offside. So im glad its changed. Plus the controversy about whether different players are intefering atall makes things more interesting.

yep, has to keep it all positive. Reality is if they play like that again, we'll probably win the next game. So he's not far wrong, we've played far far worse and won easily.

He can atleast cross with both feet from what ive seen also, did it again tonight. Wasting chances the last few games is whats made him look worse, hes not been bad outside of that really.

Didnt do that badly today, looked much better his first few games though. Should be working hard to cement a place on that side & he's just gotten worse.

As I have said a few times he is right midfielder & not your stereotypical right winger. Do you understand comrade? I know what you're saying, but i see no reason why hed be more limited further in field. Tbf ive had a watch of his assists & theyve all been lobs or crosses of some sort. But 3 or 4 are from closer to the middle of the pitch, so he can obviously pick a man out from there still. As ive said before, he can move with the ball also & he'll recieve it wider on the pitch at times still as he actually looks for space unlike others. He'll just be dictating more of the play from the middle for the majority of the game, think itd only help us.

Several of Guthries assists have come from him dropping further into the middle anyway, so not sure where it comes from. Probably only 2 or 3 of his assists have come from deep on the wing.

Theres been nothing to base him being better on the wing on atall. Hes done well on the wing, we've not even seen him in the middle in this league yet. Last season he did alright in the middle, played in several through balls for the strikers. He has good vision, hes good on the ball, he can move with the ball & he can loop it in from the middle anyway so makes no sense to leave him isolated on the wing. He can dictate play for us if given the chance.

We have the players in midfield he just doesnt use them properly. If he just had even a tiny bit more faith in Guthrie we'd be alright, but hes behind Butt. Makes no sense.

Ive noticed our tactic on long balls now when Carrolls not playing is just to let it drop to their defender & hope the ball lands back to one of our lads in the middle. Thats all they do now.

What realistically happens at half time is likely the oppositions manager adjusts his side to counter the way we're playing. Then Hughton simply tries to motivate our lot & says keep doing what you're doing. Then goes clueless when its not working. Then he just tries subs in the hope it changes. Its dont imagine its to well thought out, hes still coming from the angle of being a coach not a tactician. Is that why we never play the way the same way after the break? He tells us to back down and wait for a chance, it's obvious. Hes not gonna tell them to back down is he. He's gonna tell them to keep it up when we're dominating, the opposition just adjusts to it so we look worse. Derby likely came into this game expecting long ball. Half time he's tightened them up & made them hussle us more, get men behind the ball. We run out of options & start with the long ball.

Enriques delivery the last couple games has been horrible
