Who would you put on the left in that reshuffle? Think Rooney should be thrown out there if that sub is made tbh. Dier and Alli central. Kane behind Vardy. Just play the Diamond & two upfront. Alli behind Kane & Vardy, it is literally that simple. Even Sturridge/Vardy on for Sterling would improve this though. The diamond failed miserably against Portugal. If Rooney played as bad as Kane has for these two games he would be absolutely crucified. Straight swap Vardy for Kane and hit them for pace. It failed because the emphasis was on Rooney breaking through Kane & Vardy. The way we played it against Germany worked perfectly, you just keep them central & not pushed wide. Same way it worked against Turkey.

Tbf though this might make our tournament, because it was going to take Roy going behind to make him do anything close to considering the options we have available going forwards.

I'd bring Sturridge and Vardy on and take Kane off Kane's done nowt wrong, he did nothing in the friendlies till Vardy came on. This was all predictable.

How complicated is it? If you have STRIKERS whos speciality is making dangerous runs you'll have more fucking options for a dangerous pass than if you're playing LALLANA & STERLING in forward positions. That is not what they do. Let alone then finish the bloody chances they do get. Kane is isolated, when our strongest position of the squad is the strikers man.

Two upfront is needed i think, but hope we play well. I'd predict Wales will be harder to break down than Russia & we didnt finish our chances there. I hope we make more use of Vardy/Sturridge, or else we need Kane to step up hugely.

France are doing alright, quality when needed. The better sides will go at them & be more open. Having & using their striker options changed that game. Shows the difference a goal makes.
