Rooney looks good here, still the goal is clean through from a Sterling run. Cant see that v the top sides. Vardys pace would be more of an asset in an advanced role for us imo. Rooney more withdrawn, use his passing & vision for Kane & Vardy. Can switch it up when needed. Ofcourse he'll just play upfront, wouldn't be suprised if he got in ahead of Kane as lead striker for some games actually.

He'd do a far better job than Sterling has or Lallana so far. Being wasted.
-
Would make more sense to be trying Rooney in a more withdrawn role in a friendly surely, isnt the point to prepare for how we'll play in the tournament.
-
Sterling mate, the keepers out of the goal dont take an extra touch

Be interesting to see how Rashford does, whats the big deal with his age? Rooney and Owen were the same age or younger, if a player looks full of potential give em a go i say.

The drake one in that is quality

Keep this guy at the club, could be our leading CB for years to come. Rose to the challenge in a highly pressurized situation and actually became a leader, also brought out more of his ability. Get him trained under Rafa now, he could be superb.

Good post. It's clear from the various interviews that he and his family and friends were bowled over by the Spurs game. The matchgoing fans take a lot of stick on here (including from me) but they've worked wonders here and those present at that game deserve a massive pat on the back. Well said, fair play to everyone that went and sang his name. To all those that stayed behind to clap rather than get on the players backs, did our fanbase real justice.

Who even thinks to do a smarmy as f*** dance in the middle of a moment of sheer elation man You should be jumping around, struggling to keep the energy inside if anything. Not honing it into some kind of weird ass silky hand movement. You can just see its smugness coming out, its not elation. Its "f***ing right im mint" purely. Those comments, "cant see anything wrong with that, let him celebrate", "pushed man utd all the way". Fairly sure they just lost the game against 10 men.

The new coach Simon Smith has clearly improved Elliot to a degree. Darlow has also looked alright. Krul was 21 when Woodman joined, he may have just been getting shocking coaching. Thats how long Pardews been here. Everyone should get a do-over from us to see how they do with decent management/coaching if afforded the chance tbh.

Christ will you shut up, man. Nah. You bash on about Rooney, which is far more of a joke to be fair.

Not quite up there with us getting Dummett on direct free kicks for a period but pretty stupid yeah.
-
How more obvious does it need to be to play the lad upfront
-
Vardy has spent all season making defenders shit themselves, both when they have the ball & when its played over the top to him. His pace is a huge asset to us, Leicester just used it partly to win the league man. Kane is superb upfront also. But we should be finding room for both, or Kane slightly off Vardy for me. Kane has the technique to do more from further out, not using Vardy's strengths atall here.
-
How can someone get player of the season & still not be played in their preferred position.
-
Is he playing Kane & Vardy upfront?

Could do with sorting the usual issues http://a.espncdn.com/combiner/i/?img=/soccernet/design05/images/2016/0518/injury1_800x450.jpg&w=738&site=espnfc

Hope we use this lads potential, one of my favourite players

Not watched Derby before properly, how has this Will Hughes not been signed up by a prem side? Seems superb on the ball & gets himself everywhere.

Walcott's wasting his career at Arsenal & he's known it for ages. Needs to get a grip and prove himself upfront at another side, it's clearly what he wants.
