class goal for chelsea

COME ON LADS, FUCK SAKE GET AT THEM
-
They cant hit a ball, must have been learning off jonas. Nolans attempt was embarassing when he tried. martins is the only lad we seem to have who can hit a ball with any power. Its really strange.
-
The only time we've looked half useful is when its gone to martins everything has been linked up by him. Guthrie & nolan need to push fowards far more to support better. Vidukas had good moments, but isnt influencing anything much
-
yes has been the last few games we've lost tbh We've clearly had the chances, been unlucky to though. If we'd played like this the entire season, we'd be fine right now.
-
compared to ryan taylor hes brilliant
-
loven isnt in it atall
-
cannot believe the level of bad luck we have
-
get in, come on lads
-
played harper, very good
-
beautiful from martins there
-
viduka ability to keep the ball is ridiculous
-
purely bricking it at this point
-
Dont understand why he doesnt go for headers anymore. His legs have gone though basically, probably knows what he wants to do put cant do it. Has good intentions with his passing & often tries to take control of a situation, but usually stuffs it up because of that. Shouldnt be making the first team anymore.

Why would you need me to clear up something you already knew

to be fair it's mainly down to the injuries that weren't his fault No it isn't. what is it then.. ? " he didn't want to be here in the first place" maybe ? I've got to agree with TRon here, to the extent that he isn't finished due to injuries that we're 'not his own fault' - he's finished due to the massive injury that he picked up by choosing to go the last World Cup when he had missed six months of the previous season and was clearly unfit, and cost us his services for amost the full next season. If anything the little t*** owes us an extra season for nowt. agree with this and Tron - he actually admitted it publicly in an interview too, that he rushed himself back from the broken foot to make england i hate the man How dare a player rush himself back to play for his national side. Its almost as if he felt some form of pride playing for his country, what a twat. Now onto the next world cup where everyone has a go at the players for "not caring enough". Brilliant.

But there is reason to believe that martins would have scored on another day, given that he came inches away from scoring. As i said, there isnt much reason to believe that playing lovenkrands would have turned us into world beaters & given them more chances which he or others would have taken - compared to what we got playing Martins.
-
The fact that we lost & missed chances doesnt justify the idea that that wasnt our best starting line up though. Maybe sometimes that is just us at our best & if we dont get the luck it isnt good enough. This season it clearly isnt. Theres no reason to believe us losing means its likely that we would have done better with a different player. 9/10 we wouldnt at this point.
-
Where as you're justifying the idea that it might have been wrong on nothing beyond wishful thinking as i say
-
Dont see what the problem is. You basically believe wishfully that lovenkrands would have had a better effect on the game than martins. I see no reason to believe that. I think the fact that on another day martins would have given us the lead, suggests more than shearer got the selection right & we were just unlucky with how it turned out. Seems to me im basing my conclusion that the starting line up was correct based on something that nearly happened. You're basing your idea on something that could have happened, without much reason to believe that it would have. I see more reason to put faith in one of those being right than the other.
-
fair enough, he could have finished better or worse than he did. Regardless he made the right run, he got a good chance & came very close to giving us the lead. This suggests shearer didnt get it wrong in starting him. Theres no reason to believe lovenkrands or anyone else would have come closer than that beyond wishful thinking.
-
Sun are claiming they know united line up for the champions league final. Supposedly neither tevez or berbatov are playing & hes going for the side that beat Arsenal. So if thats not the complete bs its likely to be, its likely some of the others might actually be playing against hull.
-
But you cannot determine that it would have been better when theres little to base that on. There are no endless examples of us being amazed when we start with Lovenkrands, so its based on nothing. The fact that Martins had such an incredibly clear chance to give us the lead, would suggest that the decision to play him at the start wasnt the wrong one. On another day he scores that and we go on to win the game, yet some are talking about starting him as if it were a silly decision. The manager wasnt in charge of Martins finishing. Unless a person believes martins finishing is determined by what part of the game he starts playing at, there isnt much of a case for saying it was pointless to start him.
