Looking at our (sort of) rivals in the league, the likes of Everton, Villa, Sunderland (I know, I know LOL), Stoke and even Liverpool, they either have managers who don't seem to like to buy from abroad (Bruce used to more but seems to bottle it now) or have no money, so I still think we're in the driving seat in that sense.

I was in France for a bit recently and watched a few of the highlights programs, Pastore did look quality, looks a whole class above at times. I think Pastore has been player of the year so far as well in the whole league based on one of the French papers ratings.

Nene was player of the year last season I think and done well so far this season as I think. From the little I've seen/read they haven't really clicked those three, just been individually brilliant at times.

Dunno if it was the vertical stripes but Carroll always looked fitter for us.

Thing is, whilst loads of people would be an improvement on Llambias (even though its no guarantee we'll get one, especially considering it'll be another of Ashley's classless chums), we'll still have the problem that he'll be Ashley's man and we'll still have all the mindless decisions. Pardew is Ashleys man as well, and that is going pretty well. Maybe. Just maybe Ashley can see a future with him at the club and doing well on and off the pitch, if so you'd think he'd want to enjoy it and if he's to do that DL needs to go to satisfy the fans, and a more media savvy man come in and unite Ashley to the club instead of causing more divide with daft comments like this. If I were Ashley I'd be fuming about this, it's rocking the boat for no reason at all, perfect timing by the media as well, had this s*** for a month. Dezza has been well played, hopefully its the ammunition ashley needs to sack him. Ashley probably won't be fuming though, he knew he was getting a classless buffoon when he hired him, they're two peas in a pod man. He can change the monkey, but the organ grinder will still be changing the name of the stadium, plastering SD signs eveywhere etc. etc.

True, that's probably a bit harsh, just (probably wrongly) expected a bit more. Good point though, they are inexperienced, hopefully they can keep the young 'uns together as long as possible and become a big power. So Shearer "destroyed" us did he? I've got no problem thinking it wasd didnt do well, did terrible etc whatever - but "destroyed" us lol. Not for me. There's ways you can go about things and they always do it the wrong way imo, regardless of results. Exactly, its about the bigger picture.

I went to see Dortmund in early October and was a bit disappointed by them, seemed to have turned it around now though. They did win 4-0 in the game I saw but I was still disappointed, they seemed a bit disjointed so I dunno if it was down to new players coming in or what. Been disappointed with their CL campaign as well.
