  1. Loads to replace him, most won't be as good though.
  2. Some of the recent posts in here He's here till 2016 ffs and will be back sometime in Jan/Feb most likely.
  3. Well its a pretty narrow minded way to look at things considering the winner against Wigan and the equaliser against Spurs came without Best and Ba together, as well as the Sunderland win, Arsenal draw etc.
  4. This is completely my way of thinking. Ba's miles better at the support play than he is at playing the centre-forward. I would play Best when he's fit, especially away from home, but you can't drop Ba. If Ben Arfa's being stubborn about playing in midfield then i think it's just tough - he'll have to settle for the bench, cos B+B have been our best partnership so far this season. There's a place for Hatem down the right, no doubt about it. I'm happy for it to be tried and be proven wrong, but i can't see it happening. Best and Ba has been our best partnership because they've played the most though and we haven't really seen Ba and Ben Arfa yet, except today, where they linked up well. They linked up well twice. Against the best team in the league, not bad, especially considering 9 times out of 10 Ba would've finished his chance. Best and Ba have both played well individually but they've hardly linked up in about ten games. I'm not expecting one-twos into the box but I've hardly ever seen Best put Ba through or vice-versa, like Ba and HBA today.
  5. Ben Arfa playing centrally helps Cabaye out more as well IMO, against Wigan we saw this and I reckon Cabaye will improve when Ben Arfa gets a run in the team.

  7. Ba was alright holding it up today after the first twenty mins. Plus we shouldn't be relying on hoofed balls upfront this season especially at home, no reason why we can't work the ball forward. I'd rather stick Ben Arfa in his preferred position, which is also his best IMO.
  8. Why are so many people convinced Ben Arfa and Ba won't work? They linked up alright today didn't they when they had the chance? Don't understand it.
  9. Strange. Wonder what that's all about? Think the fans were booing him or something a few games ago.
  10. I thought they linked up well too. On another day both would've scored and Ba from an HBA assist.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Thought this was Wearside talking about Ben Arfa again, then realised you mean Nasri.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

    Some good moments today.
  13. So based on form, Best, who hasn't scored since September should start? We were playing the best team in the league, its obvious Ba would struggle a bit.
  14. Agreed Mick, not sure why people are even considering it.
  15. Started off pretty rubbish but ended up playing well for the rest of the game (except his missed chances). Started to hold it up well and win a few headers after about 20 mins.
  16. All Uruguyans are racist anyway, chances are Suarez was intending to be racist.

It's been delayed, they got Wor Brucie in for the commentary but it was a shambles, turns out all he did for 90 minutes was noisily eat Monster Munch and mumble about "dominating". Think he's still working on the soundtrack tbh.
  18. No, they probably shouldn't. But it doesn't make them racist if they do. Stupid? Perhaps. A bit of a cock? Well, we all know Suarez is that. If we accept that it was "ignorant-racist", as you put it, who is actually being ignorant? We have a bunch of people who don't speak Spanish passing judgement on whether or not a Spanish word is racist. These people are not qualified to make that judgement. You don't need to know Spanish to pass judgement. As Nobody says, Suarez would've known by now that people in Europe don't use words like this. Whether its an insult in Uruguay or not is irrelevant, Suarez would've know what he was doing. He's a pathetic wretch of a man anyway and should've been banned/sent off enough times already.

Clubs have to move on and put sponsorship up that brings no money into the club. Fans should understand this.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

    This thread is woeful.

'Cheeky bid' is the worst. -- Campbell and Taylor upfront tonight.
  22. Have a look back through the threads, you'll see. Can't be bothered to pick out posts, I was arguing against people for Krul starting though.
  23. 8 goals conceded in 11 (league games) and two of those were pens As Leazes said, its funny people rated Forster even higher not so long ago, wasn't even 12 months ago as well, a few on here wanted Forster as no. 1 this season.
