It was 2-0. Yeah after 2 shocking pieces of defending 1 of which was a Hughton signing. It was hardly 'shocking' defending. We got outclassed by better players.

I'm not bothered about what happened against Villa, Spurs weren't very good today. They weren't great first half but once Palacios was taken off they were confortable. You were moaning that we couldn't do anything even against ten, I'm saying Villa couldn't either. You can block it out all you want but its true.

We had a numerical advantage today when they went down to 10 men and he couldn't do anything, he's hopeless. Neither could Villa and they were at home. Spurs are a very good team tbf.

This is the problem with chopping and changing managers, no-one gets to build a squad. Granted a back up LB is essential and should be spotted by any manager but the rest of the squad is still unbalanced.

Would rather swap Barton and Routledge if we are playing that formation. Barton is more disciplined/better defensively and Spurs are strong out wide.

I hope it's Barton off Carroll. Could work. Why? Barton hardly ever gets that far forward these days. If Pardews plays him off Carroll he is already forward. Why Barton there though? He doesn't have the mobility of Routledge if we are playing 4-4-1-1 and is much more important in midfield. He's a good player but can't play every role.
