Think he'll be alright in the long run. Needs to just sometimes not smash it. Agree, if we can have a less farcial time of it next year with him not being the one and only choice up front (and being played in his preferred position when he does play) then I'd back him to play well and get 15+ goals, no worries.

My main worry is that he's not the type to grab a team by the scruff of the neck and lead from the front in a struggling side, but he just doesn't seem that type of player. If we can go on a winning run again then I'm confident he'll play his part in it, chipping in with goals and intelligent all-round play and movement.

He looked a smashing player when we played 3 up top last season, his all-round game was unquestionably very good IMO. This idea that he can only score spectacular goals is rubbish as well, he's an instinctive finisher which will often have you wondering "How did he do that?" but he can score any type of goal including tap-ins and easy chances. I've still got every faith in him, he/we could do with some genuine competition for his place though. Has had a bad time of it but he'll be OK.

Plus, I can't say I saw much of Cisse before he joined us but I did watch a few of those compilation things and there's no way he's only scored spectacular goals over the course of his career. Thought we were getting an Andy Cole style fox-in-the-box when we signed him, looked every bit a great short-range finisher above all else. They didn't show him missing the target and being 4 miles offside on these videos though.

He's got 2 goals in 5 league starts since the new players came in, and should have had a couple of cup goals but for some awful officiating. I think he'll be alright and will score at least 1 in 2 for the rest of the season. Could do with another Gouffran type mind, it's daft that our "forward line" includes Jonas.

Yes, with their massive potential attacking threats like Routledge and Nathan Dyer, it's best to play safe obviously. Especially since they move it around so well just by chance probably. Start making sense please. Such a horrifically bad poster.
  8. Disco man, give it a fucking rest FFS.
  9. People always say stuff like this, but Championship teams repeatedly look competent in the Premier League once promoted, most of the time after not making many signings. You see equally comical Premier League defending at times.
  10. Not working for me on Chrome either. Sly as fuck that like.
  11. Tbf, we've gone to Swansea twice in the last few years and got results that were richly undeserved in the first instance; and against the run of play in the second. They were in seasons when things were going well for us though (promoted and 5th), whereas this season can fuck off.
  12. Fucking hell, there's nothing actually wrong with Dyer? He wants to be ashamed.
  13. Neil, relax mate - you're panicking and coming to all kinds of conclusions. Harry Redknapp and your dad are different people with the same birthday. It's cool.

  15. There was talk of Terry coming here, the headline was Terrys All Gold. For some reason I always remember this useless piece of information I'm the same with "FOX CHASE" from the Chronicle when we were after Ruel Fox.
  16. Tbf in the immediate years prior to the Russian they were floating around 5th or 6th winning the odd cup with the likes of Di Matteo in their side. Their team full of posers got right on my tits, that celebration where they all sat down posing for the cameras made my eyes bleed. And commentators sporadically shortening the names of their players when they fancied it, "it's Franco Zola, Robbie Di Matteo, Luca Vialli". Etc... there were more. It was all so pathetic and I hated that side. That was almost my first experience of them, just before that they had the likes of Frank Sinclair and Paul Furlong and historically they've been beyond average as I understand it.

They were talking about who was better looking and you starting going on about knob size or something, I was pointing out the technicalities of the subject matter.
  18. It absolutely boils my blood that they're seen as this massive club by pundits, fans and players these days. They're a shit club. There is zero soul there, they just bought the league a few times by spending unprecedented levels of money. NUFC have given the Premier League more over the years, the only person I respected that was connected to their club was Mourinho. I hated them before the Russian as well, team full of posers and a ground full of wankers.
