Agree word for word. There was plenty that Pardew did well today as well as things that could be considered bad. Think some are using their general dislike for the man as a reason to bash him, but to be honest, today was an ok days work, nothing more nothing less. Nah. Worst N-O cliche going.

We never play particularly well, it's just better some weeks than it is others. But then again, you'll know that if you have eyes. We've been better lately, as I said before the game. However the point is that the football is tedious, there's no dynamism there whatsoever. Just pointing out that I'm bored of watching it, I've been watching us for 20 years and I don't see much point watching us when this is the best football we're aiming for. Not that I'll stop watching us or anything, I'm just saying I'm not particularly happy about it. Also just to reiterate to dcmk, you're an absolute WUM for coming out with something like "Maybe because you can't play really well every week?" I'm really relieved and happy at the result, but the nondescript non-football performances are becoming a big concern now. Bit sick of devoting 2 hours of my day to watching it, and it's even worse when you actually go. I'd change managers in the summer, but that's coming from a fan who wants to see decent games now and again.

He isn't a winger in this league. He'll never win the one-on-one battle consistently. I'm not sure he needs to. He'd just be bullied out of it. I much prefer him through the middle when we need to make something happen. I'd 100% prefer him in the middle too, but second to that I'd prefer him on the pitch rather than inferior players being there. I think it's worth a shot anyway.

He hasn't been given enough time on the wing to work out whether he's useless there, I think we'd benefit from his delivery from wide positions and it's worth trying. Certainly when the alternative is Jonas, who for all I love him is looking a bit spent at the minute.
