  1. Hopefully we will get the right reaction out of him after he was dropped for the last game.
  2. I think we can get 13+ points from the last 12 games regardless. There will always be an excuse to throw the cups and we always take it. I'd play close to a full-strength side.
  3. Silverware. Not a chance we'll win this when it's over 2 legs every game. There's always an excuse not to try hard in cups, that's why we'll never win one. In the last few years off the top of my head: Promotion season: Promotion more important, fuck the cups off. First season back up: Avoid relegation, fuck the cups off. Last season: Doing canny well here, fuck the cups off. This season: Doing shit again and might get relegated, fuck the cups off. We will never win a cup, ever. We don't even want to, as a fanbase or a club.
  4. I don't even know what my opinion of the game is because I haven't a clue whether the opposition are any good. It was a decent performance, we had a strong side out, we deserved to win a game I expected us to win and we drew. All I know about the opposition is they're Russian, they're not one of the Russian sides who've spent loads of money, they're in the middle of their Winter break. I've also seen enough UEFA Cup Last-32 games to know the opposition we face are usually pretty average. So it depends how good the opposition was. If they're s*** then that was bad. If they're good then that was class. If they're average then that was average. Except they're Ukrainian. As I say, I don't know a lot about the opposition. We made them look handy tonight, I expected them to be shite to average based on the limited amount I'd read. Ignorant foreigner. I'm English m8.
  5. Can't believe they're calling Russia and the Ukraine separate countries now like btw, what a minefield.

  8. As I said in the other thread, I think Tiote can get back to a point where his general play is acceptable again pretty sharpish now that he's surrounded by better players and we're in better form, however I'm not sure that him playing like an idiot will be so quickly reversible. So that's the daft fouls, the needless booking every game, the dawdling on the ball, basically doing anything other than passing the ball quickly and simply when he has it and (calmly) pressuring for it when he hasn't. That's his only role and if he's not doing it adequately then we can do better, whether within the squad or by replacing him in the summer.
  9. Anita can count himself very unlucky to be out of the side like, he deserves a chance as part of a 3 man midfield with Cabaye and Sissoko at least.

    Alan Pardew

 Lovely having a manager aiming high on our behalf.
  11. Positives: 0-0 is by a long shot the best first leg home draw you can get and people often forget how good a result it can be. Score draw away and we're through. Decent performance. Clean sheet. Negatives: No goals, Cisse will be getting more frustrated. We didn't blitz them so will have to play a full strength side next week to get through, perhaps impacting on our league form.
  12. your WHAT!!?!? My consciousness, I meant my consciousness. Bit weird tbh.
