It does seem bizarre that England would get an additional place in the EL because we had a team win the CL. I always just assumed that Chelsea would take the 4th CL spot, so the League EL spot would go from 5th place to 4th place, and 5th place became EL due to the FA Cup place going to league. Ah well, never mind. We're in Europe. All that matters.
