5-0 cr9, this is going to be a cricket score
-
zaragoza are a mess, real will score another 4 at this rate

poor babies Ambition is relative. you'd think man city fans would be grateful for where they are considering they were down in the 3rd tier not too long ago rather than sound like a bunch of whiny spurs or liverpool fans
-
defences win leagues though without a good one a club will go nowhere
-
the main reason i could think of it being called off is if theres a danger in the terraces themselves if its iced up or a lot of frost or snow

Why bother? Might as well stick with Hughton, maybe he'll turn out to be an average manager. He got them to Europe on a shoe string. Roeder did that with us. One season at one club doesn't really prove a lot. he had blackburn comfortably away from any relegation concerns and in the top half, given their budget thats some achievement. I think if we'd appointed him instead of Souness after Robson, we'd have at the very least been a regular top 10 side. personally i think we should have appointed him ahead of keegan when we got rid of fat sam, would have been ideal for ashley

They might have to sack their manager if they do though. They've drawn an awful lot of games away from home. better to draw away than lose so long as you win your home ones
-
really? i wonder why mancini hasnt had a job since he left inter and he has no experience of prem football.

One season at one club doesn't really prove a lot. What?! Did you see the squad we had compared to theirs. He brought them the likes of Santa Cruz for £3.5M and sold him on for 6 times that. He was very good for them. Didn't he buy Cruz at City for 6 times what he paid at Blackburn? not like theres a tight budget at man city now is there?

then they should have sacked him then, not when he has only had 2 defeats are in 6th and got them to the semi of league cup. I now wish nothing but ill will at man city I did all along tbh. [/Ronaldo] i previously was sympathetic due to man city being sorta like us no hopers and subject of ridicule for ages (and my dad is a fan of them) and it would have been nice to see them break open the cartel that is the sky 4, now i want them to finish below fat sam

i just view this as a hypothetical question if at some point in the future we needed a manager and hughes was available would you take him, not right now would you have him, hughtons doing a fantastic job and i really like the guy

unlimited cash, he prefers the prem and his utter contempt of the italian media?

How's it going for the players who left Newcastle?
jdckelly replied to LoveItIfWeBeatU's topic in Football
They we part of the 'we' in most cases. Obviously not counting Milner. Well, yes, obviously. They were part of a much bigger, fully-functioning shitmachine, and were integral in the 'turd wheels', so to speak.I don't bear them any ill will though. Even Owen? tbh he's the only player I'd actually enjoy watching fail. The rest I'm not all that arsed about. owen is the only one i give a shit about failing as he was captain and on huge money and never looked in the slightest bit interested post christmas, just planning his next move and thinking of how he could upgrade his stables with the signing on fee. I'm also not fond of the way bassong went about leaving but he was good for us last year so less concerned about him -
Aye, and that Alex Ferguson isn't up to much, like... it has to be said i do believe relegation has given us all a sense of perspective. it wasnt long ago we thought 5th place in the prem was bad It's all relative isn't it? Im sure if we started getting cosy in the CL again we'd be pissed off if we finished 5th. possibly but I don't think its a good attitude to have
-
but hypothetically if hughton were to suddenly randomly resign for whatever reason would you have him?

Yes his work at blackburn shows his quality, hes very capable of working within a budget and has a good eye for a bargain, ashley should have moved for him after sacking fat sam
-
Hughes is a good manager for a club with a tight budget, has a good eye for a bargain and his sides are usually competitive and strong in defence, however at man city he has more cash than he knows what to do with, some would say any manager should be able to deal with that senario but I disagree its actually a more difficult scenario than having an unlimited pot of funds with the funds comes a lot more pressure than hes ever had to deal with, where draws are considered bad things where at blackburn draws were okay hes also had to deal with bigger egos than hes ever had to before. I think man city if it does turn out they sacked hughes before the game have behaved pretty disgracefully, theres a right way to do these things this ain't it.

roy hodgson is able to get the best out of players others may have written off, (for example another of our old boys hughes) great manager hodgson. -

pah sunderland equalise. HUGHES OUT letting the mackems back into a game is a sackable offence
