  1. The prize money of the Copa Libertadores is $2.3m and pretty much every Argentine club is absolutely skint bar Velez. couldn't the same be said for most South American clubs considering how prevalent 3rd party ownership has gotten over there
  2. tbh they turned on him almost from the moment he was appointed. Not exactly sure why he was appointed his records a bit meh Cheap plus WBA don't like managers who want their own backroom staff and he probably ceded to this. god knows why they're so desperate on the backroom staff thing, seems a basic enough principle to allow a manager to have some guys he knows and trusts in there

  4. the day I take a Daily Star story seriously is a dark day indeed
  7. assume its the same as transfers, done by Friday or maybe since it would be special dispensation doesn't matter so long as its before the game
  8. Don't think so. We still have Darlow and Woodman. Darlow can't be on the bench though. He is just not up to it, that much is clear. Only going by the link Disco posted. I seem to recall City were allowed to get a goalkeeper in on loan despite having a keeper on the books and Hart on loan at birmingham at the time

  10. Away goals don't count do they? away goal rule comes into place in extra time I think
  11. As good as full strength it looks. yikes thats almost worse than going out with the ressies considering they were against a league 1 side. Still fair dues to Sheffield United, hell of an achievement, strange they can't translate that into better form in the league (10 points off top spot)
  12. Two legged semis are they not? correct
  13. This right? ncj will be wedged up his sphincter again double quick, no doubt. yep, think it was lifted before the Chelsea match (or seem to recall seeing the journos mention it anyway) http://www.pressgazette.co.uk/newcastle-united-lifts-ban-local-press-telegraph-journalists-remain-barred?
  14. Amazing, yet nowt will happen. Time for some of the national FAs etc to call time on this utterly corrupt organisation and form a breakaway. problem is the national FAs are all just as corrupt and in on all this shit as the FIFA executives. The only hope to kill FIFA is the european clubs saying fuck it and breaking off from FIFA to make their own group
  15. Tony Barrett ‏@TonyBarretTimes 2m2 minutes ago After QPR's latest defeat, Harry Redknapp said he wouldn't have lost 8 successive away games if he was Chelsea manager. Schoolyard logic.
  16. strange he wasn't even on the bench while Balotelli was injured and lord knows he's probably worth a go at this stage
  17. this has been quite the strange match
  18. I'll be honest if I hadn't seen the starting line ups I wouldn't be aware he was on the pitch He might as well be on his phone out there. the only time I remember seeing him was moaning about the defending on the first goal (other peoples defending not his own inability to do anything obviously)
