a reliable top quality striker might be helpful rather than the great in his own mind bedneter or the broken half the time van persie
  9. Well I think Jonas and Coloccini will be far less inclined to stick around if Jose leaves, for a start, which will be great news for some, not so for those who like seeing the team winning. I agree, kind of covered by the 'friends at the club' clause above. But then that begs the question why is Jose wanting to leave? (If he even really is.) If the club brings in a few decent to good players in the summer (not impossible), offer Jose an improver terms new contract (quite likely), is he really still going to want away, leaving his mates behind? why wouldn't he? he no doubt had mates at villareal but still came here, thats football

saw this on twitter Peston Robert Peston by philmcnulty Usmanov is in no mood to sell his Arsenal stake to Kroenke, says ally. He is livid, feels AFC stitched him up.
  11. no sense in whining now just because phil thompson says something, christ i'd check if he said the sky was blue. more than enough time to moan about this if/when it happens
  12. meh write off game, hope for a decent performance and anything points wise is a bonus. who knows man u on the road have been iffy this season and with hopefully tired legs from 2 tough matchs vs chelsea and city they may slip up, probably not though even if they play shit they'll still probably fluke a result with a goal off rooneys arse
  13. who would pay 14m for defoe such a limited player and doesn't have enough of a knack for goal imho to make up for those limitations
  14. lets be honest who gives 2 shits what robbie savage or lawro thinks, they're just annoyed that barton would be a miles better pundit than everyone on the motd team put together
  15. i'd label nolan most important then tiote colo barton
  16. what else can we do if a player doesn't want to be here? as far as i'm concerned if a player doesn't want to play for the club get rid

what about the remainder of the stadium debt? will he leave that as is or pay it off do you think
  18. I think taylors suffering from a lack of any kind of regular football over the past 15-16 months, he's had a fair few injuries and its hard for any cb to just come into a fairly settled defence let alone at cb where the partnership is the important bit and willicini have a very good partnership, he needs a run of games to find form but hard to displace either of colo or williamson brilliant player no, decent squad player yes
  19. i'm curious what impact a lack of europen football would have on their income, part of the reason for larger income was the champions league money, hell even europa league would still offer more gate money, a lack of it could impact their spending, and i'd question any clubs sanity for spending 15m on a left back with a year left on his contract
  20. You dont have to. Say no to him, he's got a year left - get another season out of him and in the meantime buy some players in the summer, show ambition, push on next season and he might change his mind at the end if he see's progress. its a rare club indeed that wouldn't sell a player when they're contracts up a year from now and they weren't interested in signing a new deal
