Kluivert Why didn't you keep him? Did he want to leave, or was it the club's decision? I followed him in the year he played for you and I thought he did reasonably well given the clueless managing. some clause in his contract about leaving if we didnt finish top half-we didnt

taylor would seem the obvious choice we'd get the most cash for him (young good enough and english=premium) and probably get just as good cheaper, thing is though who'd buy him? everton won't (not enough cash and they already have better cbs) villa wont (better cbs there already) spurs perhaps but only if arry is desperate for a cb, none of the big 4 will man city won't west ham won't, fulham maybe but only if they sell hangeland imo stoke maybe sunderland definatly won't, birmingham maybe and does taylor want to play at blackburn bolton wolves?

amazing how 2 different reporters can have such different interpretations of the same amount bird 20m=rule out spending spree guardian=20m= spending spree

Not that much different to his other 'I can promise the truth will come out', 'Taylor and his family indicated to me', morally outraged columns in the other rags tbh. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/opinion/columnists/brian-mcnally/Why-Newcastle-must-reveal-the-truth-about-the-Carroll-Taylor-fight-if-they-are-to-restore-credibility-to-their-tarnished-disciplinary-reputation-The-Brian-McNally-Column-article368429.html http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-stories/2010/03/28/run-out-of-toon-115875-22143644/ so basically he knows jack shit and is pissed off that we are keeping discipline things off the record

£20-25m + money generated through transfers would be pretty good. I don't know whether the remaining cash would be used to pay back loans to Ashley or whether it'd be used to cover the wages, etc. that Ashley's been covering with the loans to get the club running on an even keel. transfer cash coming in installments from martins bassong etc might go to ashley to repay the loans then everything else to keeping the club running by itself

Why do people continue to spout this delusions of grandeur shite? Biggest myth in world football. because its an easy cliche

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/apr/06/mike-ashley-newcastle-chris-hughton 20-25m transfer budget and ashley cashing in some of the loans he gave tbh sounds fair enough
