Okay, been digging up a bit more. Inter is apparently paying €5m for him, but Forlán is pocketing it all due to wages still owed to him (didn't know they owed him so much money). So it sorta makes sense, I guess.
-
Forlán going on a free. Atlético
-
I think they are looking way too much into it, to be frank. For starters, Iniesta started his senior career as left winger, the only reason we ended up with 2 CMs at CB is because of injuries (although Pep wants to have at least one CB that can play it out of the defence), and when Cesc/Thiago play "in the Messi role" we are just switching to a narrow diamond 4-4-2 which is rather common (Pellegrini and Ancelotti used that for RM and Chelsea, from the top of my mind). Ultimately, the DM role is a modernisation of the sweeper (imho), so it just makes sense that he drops in and out of the defence.

Fábregas had already started a CL final 4 years ago...

They have been linked with Weiss and Pandiani, both expected to sign soon. Pandiani would be a s*** signing , to be frank, as usual the ambition of a newt I sort of lost the track of Weiss since he went to Scotland. He looked promising. How has he done?

Man, was just listenting to a friend moaning about how boring La Liga is with Barça/Madrid twatting everybody and then saw that the PL champion beat England's 4th best team 8-2, and England's 3rd best beat 5th 1-5. Football is fucked.
-
That position didn't even exist before people started playing FM In Spanish we only talked about "Exteriores" (wingers in a 442) or "extremos" (sided forwards in a 433).
-
Zaragoza are dross, I expect a bloated scoreline.
-
Atlético drew 0-0 against Osasuna at the Calderón with both Forlán and Falcao in the stands due to their still unresolved transfers. Good job there
-
This being picked up by our media outlets now. Exposure! Sad to see a lad given this chance sending it down the drain so tragically, though.
-
Racing scores again to set the score 1-2 after 14 minutes. First La Liga game I get to watch and it's a blast so far
-
And Soldado scores again, in the wrong goal though! 1-1
-
Valencia score with almost the first touch of the ball. Soldado. Pretty sure he'll score 20+ this year.
-
Just came back from the Miniestadi to watch Barça B play, we lost to Villarreal B 0-2 and looked quite weak in the process. Hope it's not an omen for the seniors game!
-
Tamudo to Rayo, free. Good to have him around one more year.
-
Sevilla going out at the first time of asking, again. At least Athletic/Atlético made it (thanks Fenerbahce for being cheating twats )
-
Decent prospect, but I don't think he's good enough for your level. I think he'd been better off at Rayo Vallecano, myself.

Puyol's fashion sense: http://s5.as.com/recorte/20110825dasdasftb_54/C280/Ies/Sorprendente_indumentaria_Carles_Puyol_sorteo.jpg -
you're actually a very sad man. Problem? As you well know he stated that he didn't want to leave Madrid and he didn't think he'd move. You've somehow twisted it to sound like he said he "doesn't want to play for spurs". A bit sad really but what can you do. Anyway Luka's agent says he will 100% not leave this window. That's so strange though, Madrid press were saying it was him who asked to be sold. Still, they shouldn't sell him. They only have him and Khedira for the DM role.

Like Man U and Chelsea haven't been reported for tapping up players. Come off it man all clubs do it. Charlton should take the money and use it to get their shitty dressing rooms painted. Wolfsburg's Diego's agent said the other day that the player had agreed terms with Atlético, despite the fact they haven't agreed terms with Wolfsburg yet Don't Real Madrid do that aswell ? I am sure i heard ronaldo had already agreed a deal with them before they were given permission to speak to him by Man u ? everyone does it, how else are deals with players reached so quickly after a bids accepted Aye, it's common practice. Bit silly if you go through a hard transfer negotiation and then you fail to agree terms with your target.
-
Nacho Monreal is injuried, and he seems to be Capdevila's successor. Arbeloa can play LB and I think Domínguez too, so I guess he feels that's enough.
-
Not a single natural LB in the squad though. But it's a matter of time before he gets a callup unless he flops there, Liverpool have big coverage in Spain.
-
They'll accept a loan at this point, they agreed one to Getafe but the player refused.

People need not to forget that the group stage is there solely to guarantee 6 games out of pot 1/2 teams and safe travel to the knockout rounds.
