  1. Always wondered where all that money from sponsors and telly ended up, plus the fortunes they make off transfer deals (although those shady player agencies/slave drivers surely take a lot).
  2. The ranting is extremely hilarious though, I love cursing Argies
  3. Milito as a makeweight for the Cesc deal
  4. River fan reacting to their defeat in the relegation playoff first leg. It's on times like this when I love speaking Spanish. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V431Sxyn10I
  5. Apparently Alexis to Barça is almost done for €27m+€16m in addons according to several Spanish papers. To be announced tomorrow.
  6. Yes. Why is it funny? Because Neymar really isn't a badboy. Badboys are players such as Barton (well used to be), Edmundo, or other players who do stuff on and off the pitch. Neymar doesn't fall in this category. It's a joke that a kid like Neymar, who is a family guy and does stupid things on the pitch such as provoke other players gets accused of being a badboy. Neymar is off the field a quiet boy who has never gotten in problem off it. All his problems have been on the field. He's a c*** at times, but people forget he's barely 19 and has never done anything to deserve being called a badboy. His problems are on the pitch and like Sewelly says he's a little prick not a badboy not someone who comes late to training and doesnt care about teammates. He's very professional in that sense that he does everything for his team bar what happened with Dorival when at Santos, his problems lies most at not being mature and its funny watching the international cover of the kid since they seem to know s*** all, especially the Spanish newspapers. Spanish newspapers aren't accusing him of punching beggars and glassing women, you know, just of being a prick and immature.
  7. www.servicaixa.es sells the tickets available to the general public (10% of the capacity). That game is likely going to be a sell-out unless it's scheduled in some of the new bizarre times (like 23:00!!) that La Liga will use this season, so it can be hard to get a ticket from there. So if you are in Barcelona you should head up to Camp Nou and buy from the scalpers there if you don't mind the charge. They usually show up during the week before a home game.
  8. Finally saw the Argentina highlights against Colombia. Good to see Milito is still on top form
  9. Our press saying that Juve have inquired Villarreal about Rossi, which means they let Agüero go. Some decent club not named Real Madrid should snap El Kun. He's a great player.
  10. Josu Urrutia won the elections for the Athletic Bilbao presidency, which means Bielsa will be their manager in what should be an U-turn in their footballing tradition.
  11. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/sid_lowe/01/29/atletico.buyouts/index.html Most local legal experts say that if any foreign club was willing to take it to court they could get away with it, though. Otherwise, that's a good explanation on how the system works, although I have seen claimed that any club could actually pay the clause on behalf of the player without the +45% tax (to this date no selling club has really gone so far resisting a purchase, so it's untested).
  12. He's a bit different than what we have, a bit more like the traditional Dutch winger. We don't really have forwards that can exploit that, though.
  13. Suprised Barcelona don't offer them Afellay + cash for Cesc. He's a really good player but never gonna get a chance at Barça and will be even further down the pecking order after the summer. Well, if Bojan leaves and Alexis comes, he's going to be in the same position, 5th winger in the squad. I can see him getting frustrated mind, and I will understand if he demands a move. That assist for Messi already paid down his transfer fee anyway.
  14. Aye, though did I read correctly that the April one is at your place? First time in a while it's been that way round isn't it? Yeah, possibly since the mid-2000s. I honestly can't recall the last Clásico played before April. I don't particularly care when we play them, but it's starting to get a bit shameless.
  15. Mata's a good player but I honestly can't see why Arsenal would need him. They have 100000000000000 winger/forwards
  16. They'll need time to blend all those signings, imho.
  17. Does that pave the way for Mata being sold? Yes. Seems he will go to England for around 20m according to ITKs.
  18. Also, Piatti to Valencia for €7m. Great move for him.
  19. He any good? Not really seen enough Almeria matches to get a proper opinion, but from what I have seen doesn't look too bad. Where's VI when you need him. He's decent for a team of Almería's level. Very versatile, too. If he'll fit at Rangers, no idea, but if Nacho Novo was a superstar there...
  20. So the Clásico will be played in April. I'm shocked. SHOCKED!
  21. Málaga is just 1000 season tickets shy of selling their entire allocation (26,000), they are going crazy down there.
  22. Seems a bit much to spend on a LB given the form of Marcelo. Jorge Mendes will be pleased.
  23. Aye, interceptions are the hallmark of a great defender.
  24. Seems a logical decision, but he's been at the club for just a season. Ramos is their most senior starter but he's a moron.
