  1. Why bother with Fabregas when you've got Thiago in your ranks? He'll turn out better than Fabregas. Different players. Thiago is more of an AMC, Fábregas would fill in for Xavi. Also, despite his undoubted quality, I'm afraid Thiago won't make it with us. He strikes me as very impatient and will want a move if he isn't starting regularly at the end of next season, which won't happen.
  2. Also, according to "El Mundo Deportivo" we have received a €18m bid for Thiago Alcántara from an unnamed club.
  3. Well, seems I'll need to follow Roma now. Luís Enrique + Bojan going there.
  4. Ujfalusi to Galatasaray http://s5.as.com/recorte/20110620dasdasftb_41/XLCO/Ies/Ujfalusi_paso_pruebas_firmo_temporadas.jpg There's a caption in there...
  5. That's the asking price down to €45m then...
  6. Yes, Deulofeu has been hyped a lot, he's tipped as our own Cristiano Ronaldo (in *all* aspects, including the bad ones).
  7. Boca confirmed we made an offer for Araujo. Real Madrid have a first option on him. We have also been linked with Rafael da Silva (wut?) in our press.
  8. It's not the CL per se though, the economic windfall isn't actually *that* big. Heck, we *lost* money this season due to the bonuses of actually winning the thing. It's mostly the effects it has on marketing sales and brand exposure (bigger sponsorships, tv viewership...).
  9. You're right though, the way big clubs cannibalize smaller sides has damaged the sport.
  10. Espanyol's Javi Márquez linked with Spurs, Villa and Wigan.
  11. What would you consider a proper bid, kd? (even if you wouldn't accept it)
  12. Henderson, I still can't fathom the reasoning behind that deal. I'm watching England in the U21 tournament just to watch him and figure out where the fuck is a 20m midfielder in there.
  13. There won't be replacing per se, just rotation. Villa's been brilliant actually, even during his bad patch the months before the CL final his link up play and mobility was a great asset. But he doesn't have that many years in him.
  14. Rumor that the signing could be completed this Monday
  15. Levante have paid their first transfer fee in 4 seasons, 200k for buying Pallardó from Getafe. Amazing
  16. He's on €2m net a year (€3m gross), it's not like he's an unknown that has had a breakout season (like say, Higuaín who was on peanut wages or Carroll for you). Gets on my tits when players act like that, he's just one year on his contract.
  17. Di María is asking for a new contract, he signed a year ago FFS
  18. According to Marca, Pedro León has turned down an offer from Liverpool.
  19. See Cesc? That's how it's done.
  20. Damn right. The entertainers. For a mid-range club like ourselves if we can't break into the top echelons we may aswell play sexy football while staying where we are. Not saying you don't have to be ambitious, but I like your club's statement of intent so far. Let's give people a good time.
  21. But you always need a balance of both. One without the other wont do. It does with Barcelona and Arsenal. We do have a decent amount of "grit", work rate at least.
  22. So now you have a bunch of French-speaking attacking players without a clear position in the pitch. Arsenal-tastic. Nah, looks good. Even if only a couple of those succeed you'll be entertained.
  23. Málaga are building quite a side indeed, I rate Pellegrini a lot so I'm sure the Rosaleda crowd will have a thoroughly enjoyable time next season, and I certainly will be watching their games.
