  1. Even Busquets was actually hit on the face the two times he clutched it!
  2. Yes, I know for start that Xavi idolizes him. And yes, I have been drunk for the past 48 hours and nursing the worst hangover in years. But oh, man, just thinking I'll be able to tell my sons about this team. So happy about finally celebrating a big trophy in Barcelona after spending the past 6 years abroad. The city was exploding.
  3. According to Marca, Marcelo Bielsa has refused Sevilla's offer to become their new manager. Shame.
  4. In general I think that we are stronger than in 2009 and ManU weaker, but our team has looked very tired as the season progressed and ManU has bigger depth. Still think we can win this one, 2-1. Regarding our starting XI, think Pep will spring a surprise or two, possibly play Mascherano as he's better at breaking counters than Busquets. Abidal's fitness isn't the best just yet so there's still doubt he'll start.
  5. Canales close to a €10m move to Villarreal, according to Marca.
  6. According to Marca, Madrid's DoF and Mourinho rival Jorge Valdano will leave Real Madrid later today. Taking into account what Valdano has done and meant for Real Madrid, it's a bit sad. Serves them good.
  7. Ceballos? Nowt special. Impressed lots as a kid, but didn't progress when he grew up (if he did actually "grow up" he makes Messi look like a bouncer)
  8. Guardado has been held back by his injuries, but he's been a cut above when he's been fit. With the relegation he should be cheap.
  9. He'll keep goal for Spain for years to come. The lad's already incredible at his age. Regarding Agüero, I think he's going somewhere else other than Real. Just a hunch, mind. Where do you think he's off to? and how good is that barca kid we're about to sign? Think he'll go to City. Again it's just a hunch, based only on the fact that Atlético will never sell to them, and Real won't pay the full amount of the clause+tax. Which kid is it? Have only seen you linked to Osvaldo in our press.
  10. Pretty damn sure Callejón we'll end up somewhere else this season, a bit like when they rebought Negredo and sold him to Sevilla. He has nothing to offer whatsoever to a team like Real Madrid.
  11. He'll keep goal for Spain for years to come. The lad's already incredible at his age. Regarding Agüero, I think he's going somewhere else other than Real. Just a hunch, mind.
  12. That deal was agreed back in March, and made public at the time, but he joined officially yesterday.
  13. There was some tabloid talk that ManCity were going to offer 180m for him (lol).
  14. Betis rated Emana at 8m when they got relegated, that price makes sense two further years into the contract. Has pissed the Spanish second division from great height and yes, it's your cliché African attacking midfielder: big, strong, good pace, very energetic, not much tactical discipline.
  15. Great club but deserved to go down this season. Shittiest football in La Liga by quite a mile. Wonder who'll snatch Guardado (hint: get in there)
  16. It's not a done deal yet according to our press, since we are waiting until after the CL final before doing any business. Would be a great signing, we actually have 3 LBs in our books (Abidal, Adriano, Maxwell), but he's young and very promising. And Maxwell's been quite s*** when facing a good winger. Apparently the discount price involves one of our defence prospects (Fontàs, Bartra, Muniesa) going to Sporting with a buyback clause, which is good business for everybody involved. We are apparently recalling Botía from Sporting too. CB with good La Liga experience, so can add depth.
  17. Spanish Cadena Ser claims we are close to sign Rossi, all hinging on whether Bojan is included in the deal.
  18. FINE THEM We don't have this rule in La Liga.
  19. His name has been talked about a few times, but he hasn't been linked strongly. Del Bosque hasn't really tried new people since the WC, though.
  20. It will be "interesting" when they catch up on MK Dons and play each other regularly. Didn't they threaten to forfeit an eventual cup tie?
  21. Good. Málaga has nothing to play for anyway, apart from the pride of beating us in front of their crowd.
  22. Don't rate Elmander at all. One of those strikers that looks good on general play but fails to make an impact or - god forbid - actually score.
  23. Also big clubs are naturally in favor of the rules since they should prevent another ManCity/Chelsea situation happening and catching up on them.
  24. The rules obviously don't restrict their present finances in any way then. They don't. Both clubs (bar Barça this season) have been posting "profits" every season and would cruise through the regulations. The debt has been growing in both cases.
