  1. anyone got a copy/paste of that? It's been copied and pasted on RTG and is available to read.
  2. The same person who told me Steve McClaren had already agreed to be the next NUFC manager 3 months before he got the job. Stuck £100 on him @ 12/1. Happy days. Wait he agreed to take the job 3 months before he did, yet turned it down for the last 3 games of the season a month and a half before he finally took the job? Aye nae bother A few of us won a lot of money from information we were given about McClaren! Let's see what happens here now. It'll be out in the open by the weekend. It was no surprised to anyone Newcastle wanted him. They tried twice already and after derby sacked him it was obvious they’d try again. Big fuckin deal. Was a surprise to the bookies. He was way down in the betting.

  4. Don't believe me if you don't want to. Makes no odds to me mate. McClaren was sounded out about the NUFC job long before he took it.

  6. Hearing that the Premier League are preparing to reject the proposal but will leave the door open for PIF to purchase or invest in a club in the future subject to them clearing what will be a modified owners/directors test. All should be clearer by the weekend
  7. Watched a Champions League game behind closed doors just before the lockdown. Valencia v Atalanta I think it was. End to end loads of goals (think it finished 3-4) yet it was awful to watch. I watched one of the last as well, think it was Inter Juve? Turned it off at HT it was painful. Yeah I tried to watch that one as well but gave up after about 10 mins.

  9. I'll route for Borussia Möenchengladbach for no other reason than that Möenchengladbach is twinned with North Tyneside.
  10. I thought PFF get the club if Madrox defaults on the loan? I very much doubt that they'd want it. Surely the land that the stadium and Academy is on would be worth a lot more to them that a football club that has a history of hemorrhaging serious amounts of money.
  11. I also regularly read the Sunderland and Middlesbrough boards and despite them performing even worse than us over the past Decade they certainly haven't had the huge drop off in posters this one has. There's certainly more to it than team performance. Anyone thinking otherwise is kidding themselves. You got pelters because you were a prick. One minute slagging the fans attending, the next you were going to the match, then back to slagging the fans before 'oh, whoops, got a season ticket'. So little self-awareness it's unreal. You get pelters for that yet 4 years ago someone told me they wanted Adam Johnson to rape my then 3 year old son which most of the usual suspects found hilarious. Such a bizarre place really. What a load of bollocks. It's hardly something I'm going to make up like! About 4 years ago. 99% certain it was on a Sunday night.
  12. Have you donated your £200 to charity yet mate? Offended you even needed to ask... Don't be. Who was the lucky charity?

  14. Its a clique i tell ya , a clique ! I don't think there is a 'clique' on here, what we do have is a group of very regular posters who tend to 'listen to' eachother and 'quote' eachother, and that seems fine, as they are the ones who have 'put the work in on here' and kept this forum going for years. I have been on here for many years, but I don't post too often, so consequently I don't get "quoted or re-quoted" all that often either . . but I think that is ok. We have some very good regular posters on here, who I enjoy reading !! I've been on here about 11 years now and I've noticed there's a massive clique which has gradually become worse over the years and sadly turned what was a very active board into what had became a ghost town up until the takeover news. It got to the point where you find yourself checking and rechecking your post before you press "post" to try and eliminate unusual culprits ripping it to shreds. In other words there was no fun in the place anymore which is why so many people walked away. Hopefully there'll be an introduction of new posters join if this takeover goes through and maybe it can get back to where it once was because it was dying on its arse up until a couple of months ago. The people I know who have walked away have done so because their lack of interest in the club has waned due to Ashley, not because there is an apparent clique on here. You talking shite and people disagreeing with you is allowed. It's you who is in denial here and the fact that so many people have suggested it proves that it's been noticed by quite a few people.

  16. They don't publish things based on journalist reports that's for sure. Why would they wait until 10pm on a Sunday to post what was being reported last week? They must have been told something by someone (not journalists) for them to come out with that. Even now they are still a very influential NUFC website. Not sure if it still stands but they were getting more hits/traffic than the official website which prompted NUFC to try to buy the domain from them. I've been pessimistic about this takeover from the off but having read that tonight my optimism has risen sharply. I reckon they've been contacted by the buyers. I'm fairly sure they wouldn't have printed that otherwise.
  17. I'm from North Tyneside and we're twinned with Mönchengladbach.
  18. It's been said on here already, I wish for them exactly what they wish for us. What do you think they wish for us, like? On RTG/Twitter obviously you'll get some morons, but in the "real world" I don't know any SAFC who wants NUFC to be a major failure. Just goes to show then. All the Sunderland fans I know wish nothing but misery and heartache for NUFC.
  19. So they have no money for new players. Any club in this position would then look to turn to their younger players in the U18s/U23s squads but when you look at the combined records of those teams this season it reads P34 W0 D1 L33 GD-99 so I'm not sure where they can go from here. Maybe they could give HTTs bairn a run out?
  20. Haha spending £200 to have a piss take on a football forum is mental like mate!
  21. It's not something I could do on a regular basis. It's nice as a one off treat though. My company used to have a box, although they cancelled it a couple of years into the Ashley regime as the standards had gone to pot, and it's a decent enough way to watch the match but usually I would find myself looking over at my seat in the Gallowgate and wishing I was there instead.
  22. There's various different packages that come with hiring a Box. You can get the full works, champagne, 3 course sit down meal etc, or you can get a standard hot fork buffet in your box whereby you just help yourselves rather than having a waitress serving you. Every box gets a host/hostess and they'll do everything for you from getting your drinks to acting as a bookie runner and putting your bets on for you. Even if you choose the most expensive package you can't take your drink outside onto the balcony to watch the match.
  23. Our ticket prices are higher than every other club around us. The only clubs more expensive than us are Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea. We're more expensive than Man City. Ashley's cheap tickets were always a bit of a myth which many people fell for. For example standard 1 year season tickets in the East Stand have increased from £596 to £811 since he bought the club and from £457 to £659 in the Gallowgate and Leazes in his time here.
  24. Not sure if relevant but those huge Sports Direct signs stuck on the back of the Gallowgate are currently in the process of being pulled down.
