Nah that's me done now. 100%. Prefer Rugby League to football these days as it is after getting into it 5 years ago when they brought Magic Weekend up here. Keep saying I'll try to watch more Non League stuff but to be honest if the playing behind closed doors has shown me one thing it's that I'm not massively in to football like I always assumed I was. Of course the actual football played a part but I can see now that it was probably more the atmosphere and the crowd which gave me the overall experience that I enjoyed. I literally haven't been able to sit and watch a full match from start to finish since lockdown, even with the artificial crowd noise. It just doesn't do it for me. I've had a good run of it anyway. I've seen us play Cambridge away, I've seen us play Barcelona away and about another 1,000 other games aside them. No doubt I'll still watch the odd German/Spanish/French/Italian game on my IPTV once fans are allowed back in but as far as English football is concerned, that's my finish.

Its all on the PL - corrupt to the core- bigger clubs didn't want this to happen They are totally unaccountable can do what they want. Them taking into consideration the opinions of the bigger PL clubs and Qatar was bang out of order. No way should any of their feelings have had any effect on this takeover.

He's been shown to know very little about the whole episode tbh. No he's been shown to have a line into the buyers, who are sticking to their guns about what happened. Given Ashley is involved and the PL have taken the amount of time they have I know who I believe personally regardless of all this made up bollocks about Staveley being a chancer or whatever. We have years of evidence of what Ashley is like. If he has theyve been filling him with lies because most of what he's came out with these past few months has been well wide of the mark. You've no f***ing idea what you're talking about man. There's nothing to suggest that anything the buying party have said is bullshit. I said from the start it wouldn't go through, Caulkin said it would. He knew f*** all, same as I did. Only difference was my gut feeling was right and his was wrong. Absolutely full of shit. You said he knew "very little" and are changing tack. Jog on. He knew next to nowt. That's why he got so much wrong. If you are struggling to understand that, that's fair enough.

Rugby League. Been following it since they brought Magic Weekend up here in 2015 and had a season membership at Newcastle Thunder since 2017. Tbh I prefer it to football now although I'll still probably take in the odd Non League game if something takes my fancy. Cancelled my Sky Sports over a year ago so I dont watch Premier League football on TV anymore so in that respect nothing much will change. My interest in NUFC and elite level football in general was hanging by a thread anyway, just means the thread has been snapped now.

Ah well looks like us Negative Nellies were right all along and Qatar (who let's face it control World football) get their way again. It's a real shame for all those who were certain it was going to happen and had hung their hats on it so to speak. Think about it for a moment though and there's no way Newcastle United were ever going to be allowed to become the richest football club in the World. It just wasn't going to happen.

Not sure how Southampton get a C+ and we get a B when they finished 2 places and 8 points ahead of us. They lost one game 9-0 and still had a goal difference 11 better than ours as well. But Charlie say's...................................."He ended up playing a decent attacking style which Newcastle fans would, if they're sitting over their beer in the stadium, say he did a good job but not as good as Rafa - you'd say really? The position he finished in the league? There wasn't even one bit of sweat on the brow about going down, which you got with Rafa." I keep hearing more and more pundits go on about this attacking style we've been playing. Souness alluded to it last week as well. I suppose if you end up peddling a lie over and over eventually more people will start to believe it. My own eyes and the stats suggest we were arguably the least attacking side in the league. Couldn't care less what the likes of Nicholas says, he's probably not even watched us this season.

He has a Premier League win percentage of 28%. Just let that sink in for a minute. 28%. Basically he's doing marginally better than winning 1 game in every 4. The only manager with a worse win % is Bryan Robson who will never find work as a manager again. Certainly not in this country. How he gets such an easy ride, and all this praise constantly heaped on him from all over the media I just can’t fathom out.

Topic title needs to be changed to; Steve Bruce - The Shithouse

He's a cunt. A group of my mates bumped into him in the lift of the hotel they were staying in before the 1999 Cup Final. Tried to have a bit banter with him, inevitably about the match and he made it clear in no uncertain terms that he hoped Man Utd thrashed us. I also still remember his miserable face when he was sat in the Sky Sports studios when we thrashed them 5-0. He wasn't a die hard, cut me open I bleed black and white, NUFC has always been my club blah blah blah sort of bloke back then. Nor was he when he managed that lot down the road when he didn't miss the opportunity to have a sly dig at us whenever he could. He's a snide, he's disloyal. He's also a shit manager. In fact he's a shithouse of a human being.

We played with only 10 men from the 47th minute onwards against Leicester at home. No we did not. I was there (admittedly I left at half time) but I'm fairly certain we'd used all 3 subs by half time and then Schar got injured right at the start of the 2nd half and had to go off.

Seriously how do you know that? A crazy comment from a crazy guy. Go post another 50,000 messages on RTG you sad sack. Anybody that posts on RTG like you do, has no respect from me. I imagine this will absolutely devastate him.

Thank God that's all over. Takeover or bust now for me. -
Aye as anyone at Stoke away in league cup 96 will confirm, Wednesday night we took 6500 down absolute hell on all night. Took a snide blow on way into ground and had to use the gear lock to fend off some big baldy cnut after the match. Can laugh about it now but in all my years home and away never seen anything like it, running battles all over after match. We were at that one. Won 4-0 I remember. Atmosphere was hostile from the moment we arrived. We were driving around looking for the ground (it was the old Victoria Ground not the one they have now) and wound the window down to ask a couple of lasses where the ground was. "Fuck off you Geordie bastards" came the response and we knew from then on it was going to be one of those nights. Finally found somewhere to park and went for a drink. No Newcastle fans allowed anywhere. Headed to a burger van instead. My mate bought a burger and didn't even get to take a bite of it when a Stoke fan walked up to him and knocked it straight out of his hands. Headed to the ground after that. Remember being funneled down an alleyway separated by a mesh fence. Stoke fans on the other side trying to climb over it to get to us. Finally got into the ground and it was the most intimidating atmosphere I've experience in over 35 years of watching NUFC. Came out the ground afterwards and you knew what was coming. We got chatting to a QPR fan who had travelled up from London especially to watch Les Ferdinand. Next thing we knew about 50 Stoke fans came charging over and started laying into the 5 of us. Somehow we managed to fight them off and ran back down towards the direction we'd came from. This meant trying to dodge punches and kicks from oncoming home fans though. Finally got to relative safety and witnessed a Newcastle minibus being turned over onto its side. We were then given our own personal police escort back to Stoke covered in blood and ripped clothes. Not a very pleasant journey home! Never been back to Stoke since.

Wallsendmag will be fuming even more since he insists Leeds have never been a big club. They aren't. Shit history, shit crowds historically, and a shithole of a stadium! Yeah, you just need to convince the rest of the country now, we've had a week of stories and tv debates about how great it is to have Leeds back in the big time. But keep at it, your one man campaign to declare Leeds a historically small club might snowball into something bigger. Didn't say they were small, they're just not that big. Crowd wise, trophy wise, stadium wise, all bang average really. They've spent more of their history outside of the top division than in it ffs. There's literally nothing there that can define them as a big club. Are we still talking about English football? Maybe your idea of a big football club is one which is a worldwide CL giant? A big club wouldn't have spent more than half their history outslde of the top league. A big club would have, at some time in over 100 years managed to average over 40k fans in a season. A big club would have won more than 5 Domestic trophies in their history. Simple as that.
