Manchester City vs. Newcastle United - 19/08/13 @ 8pm (Sky Sports 1)

Not even one game in and a 10mil bid ruins things. Can't wait. -
You'll probably find we're the ones who've made it public to up the fee/generate further interest. We've been publicly generating interest all season by bigging the fella up. I wouldn't be surprised if this is Ashleys way of getting the fans back for slagging his drinking partner. 'don't sell Cabaye, we'll fackin' show'em Joe'. Pack of cretinous cunts. the question is who benefits making this public, us? no not really if anything it hurts us. Arsenal? Makes them look like they're doing something in response to the defeat and wengers on the case to sort it out trust wenger hes about to go on a spending spree blah blah blah If we've intended to sell him all summer, I'd argue we benefit immensely from having this interest made public because any other interested parties have to either shit or get off the pot. I happen to think he's the one marked as the sacrificial lamb this year and he's probably also (rightly) pissed that he was sold the dream by Billy Liar (AP) which has turned to shit. As you can see, I'm hugely cynical when it comes to all matters NUFC these days. I don't doubt we would make something like this public, just not right before our first game.

Top class post as always womble -
Yep not bothered about the offer, but trying to buy players on the day of the game is well to say it lacks class is an understatement. As others have said, we wouldn't hesitate to do the same. Aye, we're cunts too. Doesn't make it less annoying.
-
More annoying than the price of the bid is it going public hours before our first game of the season.
-
Surprised at the reaction to this. Wouldn't be the first time a club has bid what they felt is market value even though the club values the player more, don't think that makes them arrogant.

The Guardian are usually pretty shit that that. Apparently Pardew said everyone was fit bar Remy and possibly Jonas, that's what I got from Caulkin at least. -

Taddei played four league games last season

I gave you context pages ago, man. You're just utterly clueless here, a baffling opinion.
-
You can cherry pick any stats you like to prove your point. Would it make any difference to your opinion if I posted his tackling %age? Goal scoring ratio? Discipline record? Probably not. On the whole he has some decent attributes. He's a professional footballer. But he's not "world class," he's not going to be the match winner, he's not even the difference between winning and losing most weeks. He's tidy. He's professional. He'll do as he's told. I like to see more in a player. You mean like yesterday? Altidore might have an opinion on the matter. Look who created 2/4 with superb passes, him and Altidore both did it. And he's done it for the US many times. How is a fucking passing percentage cherry picking a stat? That's as important as it gets, I've already questioned your opinions without stats anyway.

Dude had the third best passing percentage in the Serie A last season and he would be Bigi's backup
-
You really think that? I think the current Roma team (challenging for Europa League) is pretty much the perfect level for him.
-
Played like two cup games in his short spell. P.S. Far, far better than Tiote. And a much better passer, just look at his passing from yesterday.
-
I just wholeheartedly disagree with you in about every way. I wouldn't defend any other American player like this, I'm only defending him because he's genuinely a quality midfielder that has only gotten better since his move to Italy. He's faced unfair criticism since he's been with the national team, but I didn't think it carried over to after he proved himself. There's absolutely no way Mix is more "cultured" than him, he's promising and clever going forward, but other than dribbling ability and technique he has nothing else on Bradley at the minute. Like I said, you're going to need video evidence to back up these claims, there's a reason Rudi Garcia has spoken incredibly highly of him lately.

Watching the 7-3 since NBC aired it last night. He was so goddamn good that game, one of the best individual performances we saw, which I guess isn't saying much. He really needs to be playing a significant role this season.
