Didn't listen, but anyone who's watched Altidore over the past year knows he was a good purchase. His style really fits the league too, as long as he's getting service he'll score a few.

He played AM in most of those games. I remember Stoke vividly - he was horrible. Still not his position though, also a place where he's attempting a higher number of risky passes. Passing clearly isn't his strength, but I don't think he's as bad as those stats.

I would expect that to improve if he's playing in the middle, he's clearly not comfortable out wide so it's not surprising his passing numbers aren't great.

Most of our friendlies are against bigger nations, and the guys we'll look to in the World Cup are playing in the beast leagues anyway. I'm not too concerned about that.

It would be a terrible idea though. Basically took a 20+ goal victory for Australia to leave Oceania, the talent level isn't nearly as bad in concacaf as it is in the Pacific Islands. We have a difficult enough system now, going to Costa Rica, Honduras, etc. is not easy, and we hardly play the smaller countries like Belize in qualifying, only in small tournaments like this.

This lot go on like they would love to see Dempsey top goalscorer followed by Altidore runner up whilst there respective clubs triumph under their brilliant qualities. Madness this soccer game. It's hardly comparable, England have a lot more talent and depth than we've ever had. Altidore's basically our only hope up top going into the World Cup, we're not going to hope he goes shit suddenly.
