Adebayor isn't an upgrade from last season. dembele and dempsey are two excellent signings, as good a way to replace modric as possible really People keep forgetting they got Sigurdsson as well. Dembele essentially replaced Modric. Sigurdsson replaces Van der Vaart. Dempsey is a bonus. Adebayor was secured too. Adequately though?, not a chance.. I'm sure he'll adequately replace him, that's not saying much. He won't be as good, yet, but he has the potential.

I accepted we wouldn't get anyone a few days ago. Unfortunate, but I can't wait for Villa Sunday. We're still in a very strong position and it should be a fun year.

It was going to be difficult watching Dempsey play for Liverpool. Spurs isn't much better but it's not Liverpool. My friend is a Spurs fan so I don't hate them as much as most. I can handle it.
