  1. Auclair said it increases to 9mil depending on European qualification and the amount of goals he scores.
  2. At first I thought 'fuck off, that's not true.' Just Googled it, holy shit Is this guy one of the worst humans ever? Has to be up there.

    Alan Pardew

Well, it's not somehow even better, it's better because it's three better players.

You've started following us post Joe Kinnear then? Edit: Too slow. I started with Allardyce :|
  5. Their midfield is only their strength because they play a simple passing game, it's good and probably the main reason they'll stay up. But like I said, if they really want to push on they'll need to improve it. Not enough incisiveness. I'm also including Sinclair/Dyer/Routeledge as midfielders.
  6. Not going to get all worked up about this yet, things are going so well right now and if he picks up a goal on Monday all of this is forgotten.
  7. If they can hold onto Sigurdsson and sign a better striker they should be alright. The rest of their midfield looks decent enough to keep them up for a bit, but if they want to push on they're going to need someone better than Leon Britton passing the ball sideways all match.
  8. Pardew did they were thinking about Monday with the subs, so hopefully just precautionary.

Confidence in him slowly growing, feels good. I definitely trust him more than any Newcastle manager we've had since I've been following.

    Papiss Cissé

    Dat finish. He's just...so good.

    Yohan Cabaye

Been great lately, not surprising as he's moved higher up the pitch.
  12. I was pleased with that, now they can rotate six commercials instead of five.
  13. Glad we got to half at 1-0, that is key. I don't mind letting them have their possession but not giving them any chances, but we need to keep the ball longer, or at least be more effective with it.
  14. I love when pundits say something like "Up there at Newcastle, they love their goalscorers" as if other clubs just don't want players scoring for them.
  15. Jonathan Wilson and Harry Pearson are good for separate reasons but apart from that I'm struggling to think of any journalist on the Grauniad I like. Jimbo maybe? Classic example of what I'm talking about regarding pomposity - in their "five things we learned at the weekend" column on Monday they had a go at us for reminding the country how thick football fans are. Our crime? We booed some of our ex-players. True - the 'five things we learned at the weekend' column was weak. I suppose I generally like their sports coverage as a whole - far more comprehensive than other newspapers I think - and the fact that they actually do regular pieces on European football, however boring Sid Lowe's articles might be! Paul Wilson and David Conn often write some pretty good articles, Conn especially. They really only frustrate me when I'm reading/listening to something about Newcastle. But they have had some decent stuff about us this season, but their coverage as a whole is a lot better than most places.
