No less than we deserved. Way too conservative in the beginning, by the time a change was made it was too late.

Well, Simpson has erased everything at this point. Some horrible crosses.

Simpson infuriates me, man We worked really hard to keep possession by our left corner flag in a congested area of the pitch, we eventually -with great skill - manouevre out to the open right, and he plays it long and we lose possession Agreed. The amount of times he loses possession by lumping it down the line in blind hope gets right on my tits. But he's rarely done that so far today. Made a few nice defensive moves as well as the shot.

Simpson's looked good so far. We need to see more of the ball though, there's still a long way to go for them to ome back if they're seeing that much of the ball. Fortunately, they haven't been doing too much with it.

when we went down we said we deserved it cos you finish where you deserve, we didn't say we under achieved. if we finish 5th or higher surely we'd be lying if we said we over achieved ?. Finishing where we deserve and under/overachieving aren't exactly mutually exclusive. We deserved relegation because we underachieved.

If it came to the point of us having Colo, Saylor and Vertonghen, Saylor will fit in quite nicely as our third centerback.

If they've failed to get Curbishley twice, then yes, they definitely should've stuck with him. That shortlist of managers was horrendous enough, can't imagine what it looks like after getting turned down.

Zoua was really impressive for Basel.
