Nagbe with a great goal tonight. Red Bulls keepers still suck.
  2. If some of these things said are true, it does seem like GolfMag was correct.
  3. Well fuck. 14.99 a month was a bit excessive, enough for me to cancel it for the summer. I'll be jobless next season, in the middle of Chicago, that extra five is going to be painful to shell out. I won't even use those features.
  4. Same with me. Last time I watched SSN was when the Marveaux news broke too.
  5. It baffles me that anyone on or above Arsenal's level would want Clichy. He's so average.
  6. That is unfortunate. Rididclous team Man City have. If Arsenal don't make a few really good signings they could be in trouble.
  7. Do you have a source for such a claim?
  8. Relatively, tbh, it didn't frustrate me as much as the men's 'performances' at the World Cup and the abject shit under 21s served up at the Euros. Yeah, it's not the best, but it probably suffers because of the direct comparisons with the obviously superior mens game. Women's tennis is the same, but it doesn't stop it being viewed and enjoyedas a different sport. I wouldn't watch a neutral game of women's football, but with a side to support it does have some merits. The keepers are truly dire though, that pisses me off. Exactly how I feel on all accounts.

    Sunderland...

We should rename the site to Ryder-Online.
  10. I doubt we're in for Gibson, just because it seems every time (lately) we're reportedly looking at someone shit, it's always denied and nothing comes of it.

DeRo is such an annoying player. Can't believe the Red Bulls took a chance on him, it got them McCarty though, so I guess that's good. Red Bulls should be looking at Hahnemann, their keepers are shit.
  12. IIRC, he wore out his welcome in MLS. DC tired of him and shifted him to some nondescript team, where it really didn't work out for him. It was more his youth-level performances that have salivated the mouths of European clubs. Yeah, he really had no choice but to leave. Had a fallout with the manager at DC, traded off to Real Salt Lake, who were probably the worst team in the league at that point. He played a season or two there as their best player, but it was going nowhere. Staying in the MLS longer would have definitely helped, just didn't work out that way.
  13. Yeah, unfortunately the new guard isn't much better. Cherlundolo was probably our best defender and he's in his 30's. The only young defender I have relative hopes for is Timmy Chandler.
  14. Adu and Dos Santos are similar in that both looked like world beaters at this tournament, but have been failures in every way at club level. Was that the US' strongest team? The lack of anything upfront will hold them back if so. You only need to look at Uruguay to see how imperative top class strikers are in international tournament format. Our strikers are still a few years away from full potential. Altidore looked good at the tournament, it's unfortunate he got hurt. But, you're right, there's a huge problem when him, Agudelo and Wondolowski are playing. Hopefully those first two develop well and Charlie Davies makes it back into the squas, and Teal Bunbury looks like he'll turn out good. We should be decent enough up top by 2014.
  15. Already? Seems rather early.
  16. What the hell? His European career baffles me, what are Sporting thinking?
  17. I would imagine even when he's talking he refers to himself as "we."
  18. They're clearly better than us, unfortunately. Going to be a few years until any mature talent comes up to match them, too.
