  1. I don't think so, last time relegation looked inevitable. This time it's only possible IMO. We were 11th this time in 2009 with three points more than we have now, how did it look inevitable? Weren't we only 2-3 points off the bottom then though? This time we're 4 points clear. There hasn't been a 'Hull' this year and all the teams you expect to be down there, are there this time. I'll admit, after we beat Pompey & Spurs back to back that winter I thought we'd be fine and was wrong. This time though, I can't see the likes of QPR, Reading and Southampton just to name 3 that will pick up more points than us before May.

and btw I'm sure you remember Pardew used to play Tevez on the wing so Tevez was entirley justified to stick the knife in when he left. Matt Holland was a model pro, he wouldn't criticize anybody.

Matt Holland has said before in media he's an excellent man manager and was full of praise for him when he was appointed Can you lot f*** off with this? It's his trademark ffs!!! It's been said on here! What is the point here?An equal number of people have called him a fraud. Pundits and players alike. Who's called him a fraud? That pundit (from that video everyone on here has seen) and Tevez off the top of my head. I'm not arsed digging tonight but I'm sure one could easily find more. yes such a great lad to work with him his natural response to criticism from Mancini was to f*** his job for 6 months and go to Argentina yes thats the guy we should listen to And in the other corner Matt Holland and Joey fucking Barton.

Are you serious? genuine question btw I can't tell.
  7. shola can play up front then ? Precisely. The sweet, sweet sound of money in the bank. or just not getting the deals they wanted. when i go shopping for something i need, i'll not pay more than i think i should. i'm sure if it was just money in the bank we could've sold tiote, cabaye, krul and cisse, last summer for healthy profits, Nah, we wanted to maintain Premier League status. For the money. As it happens the plan isn't going too well. not how i see it, the plan was we could do as we did last season, maybe a little worse, the transfer straegy was exactly as the season before in that we get players on our terms. even with last seasons squad i doubt anyone foresaw what has since happened. Hang on a minute, people like me were raging in the summer and claiming it wasn't acceptable so little was invested in the squad. People like you were saying it wasn't a problem. Now we're struggling and you're saying it couldn't have been foreseen? Do me a favour. Pig sick of the attitude that we're no better off than a newly-promoted club and that every single penny wasted could endanger it. And somehow opinions like mine are portrayed as the negative ones. Especially the bold part.
  8. A pointless slaging really. Thoroughly unprofessional (smakes of blame game/more excuses) and only serves to demotivate a player who will be called upon if Debuchy is injured before the season ends. I'm not a Simpson fan btw () but Pardew has previous with this sort of thing with Routledge who has 5 goals and 4 assists this season- better stats than ANY of our players this season.
  9. They'll have made a fair bit of that back over the years. Rooney, Lescott, Rodwell, Arteta all were sold for over or close to their record signing after minimal outlay.

I think statements like this are utterly pointless. Well, that's my dose of unnecessary hostility sorted It comes to us all. It might have been supreme irony to be fair. Say that to my face and not on-line and see what happens.

Don't see how that is hostile Anyway it is pointless remark tbf. That's all I said.

link? Stating that they are not good enough over and over again is criticism whether you like it or not.

To be fair, what should he have said? The whole squad's confidence is shot. The last thing they need is criticism in public. A good manager takes the blame in public (even if its not his fault) and bollocks in private. Beyond Pardew though. You've literally made that up though haven't you mate When have you ever heard Mourinho, Ferguson, Wenger, or even Hughton take the blame? I can probably count on one hand I've heard any manager publically take blame for a result, one of those instances was Pardew after the West Ham home game (if I remember correctly). Unbelievable amount of nonsense spouted on here at times To be fair, what should he have said? The whole squad's confidence is shot. The last thing they need is criticism in public. Did you even watch the interview? He said that they are not good enough  He didn't like. He said we had too many young players on the pitch today, but that they did well. I'll just wait until the interview is up in writing/video because he most certinly did criticize them.
