Thia is what @JacobsBen was spouting before BZG released their second statement. Basically, he was saying the same as the other journos were saying which was not in line with what was eventually revealed in the second statement. Not sure about others but I'm taking what he said in the podcast with a pich of salt. He just said he talked personally with people close to the group but even that can't be verified. When he said this thing can go on for another month, I was a bit sceptical. For me, no one knows except for the people extremely close to the deal. Now after seeing that he verified that guy on twitter as BZG lawyer, I can't really trust that. If it turns out that they do indeed have a crazy s*** lawyer, then fine but still, I think Ben Jacobs intel is not as well established as it seems. If it turns out true, then fair enough. Fwiw, Ithink the deal will be completed much more earlier than what he said tbh.

Just heard that Ben Jacobs guy podcast. I wouldn't trust what he was saying. This is the same guy that sent out a tweet yesterday or the day before that included saying no proof of funds shown to the club as well as the Premier League have not received any docs of the deal yet. Fast forward 24 hours, and after the statement from the buyers came out yesterday, he has changed his tune and claims he has personally spoken to the group. Why didn't he talk to them earlier before sending out the tweet then?

Wouldn't it be coincidental that The Sun's reporter broke the news on Sunday in anticipation that the deal was about to be finalised on Friday? I don't know but just my guess that they could have released the story on any other date or day since the negotiations started way back in April but he was told of the deal and chose Sunday as perhaps the deal is getting nearer to being announced?

That line about not bring done before 30 June is just BS. Mainlybdie to coming from a journo who cited sources he had. Just to list a few things that the journos have been trying to pour cold water on the updates we have got. 1. After the 1st statement, everyone of them was jumping on the bandwagon of the buyers not showing proof of funds eventhough price has been agreed. Turns out, it was already done in April. 2. The Premier League not getting the docs yet. Turns out, they are unwilling to comment and it should be the club to say so and we have reached the Fit and proper test stage as claimed by the buyer. 3. Scrambling to say this Sheikh Khaled is not who he says he is. Turns out, they don't really understand how the 'family tree' over there is and in the end, he is the distant couain of the City owner. There have been so many tweets that has just been off from these journos and Luke Edwards has turned into an even bigger cunt just like Craig Hope. All I'm saying is, just wait for what BZG will come out and say coz they sound like they have nothing to gain playing around while these journos are in for the clicks and breaking non-stories so far.

Think I have mad my mind up that the takeover is real and these local journos are out of the loop. Scrambling all over the place to get their stories out yet they are being getting everything wrong or irrelevant coming their way. These sheikh are two steps ahead of what the journos are just reporting.

Think they have been forced to put out this extra statement today because of the flak the local journos have given them since their last statement. Deal would have been completed or something major would have happened on Friday had the journos not put doubts out too much about them.
