The Brighton type signings aren’t really going to emerge until another few years down the line though surely? Although I’d argue in Alex Murphy we maybe have got someone who could step in to do a job after 12 months of Ashworth being in situ. The number of players the club seem to be recruiting in the 16-19 bracket (the two Irish lads from the Milan clubs for instance) suggests they are looking to set that kind of conveyer up, but it will take a while to bear fruit and I’d imagine even in Brighton's more mature set up, there are half a dozen that are moved on for every youngster that steps up to the first team setup.

Honestly not sure, but as good as he’s been pre-season I can’t see him getting capped for England

He'll be wanting to form a good partnership with his international colleague Anderson by that point too ?

Why don’t you, stop being so presumptuous ?

Does it not stop their development of Tyrick Mitchell though? Which given Palace seem to be a club that develop then sell young players, seems counter productive to their own aims.

Just watched that myself, I honestly reckon I’d run through brick walls for that guy and I’m a decrepit 45 year old. The difference in our current leader to what went before must be immense for the players

Maybe not, but I’d wager a few of their squad players would look a hell of a lot more competent under Howe than they do at their current teams.

have a few of them not already been pushed down the pecking order due to the emergence of Miley, Anderson and A. Murphy though? plus it would appear we are bringing in another raft of 18 year olds just under the first team level too. I think everyone forgets that the likes of Jamie McClen and Martin Brittain played for us when we were in a similar position under SBR.

Fella we get it, you’d rather we signed Frimpong for some reason. But there have been no links so it's just that an idea in your head. I dunno what to tell you, the coaching staff at Newcastle maybe.don't rate him, maybe Leverkusen might be deemed too difficult to negotiate with now they’ve sold Szoboszlai. Or hold on to your hat, maybe he doesn’t want to leave Leverkusen. Basically what I’m trying to say is, it looks like the club's recruitment team like the look of Livramento and there are concrete links that we are attempting to negotiate with Southampton to sign him, hence why we are talking about him in a thread on a Newcastle United forum. There have been no links to Frimpong other than the ones in your imagination, so maybe if you want to discuss Frimpong so much, maybe do so on a Leverkusen forum? Start a fanclub? Stalk him…..
