Seems like Ashley has been cheap with gasoline on his chopper, only taking him to france this spring. We were mostly in for players from france all summer. Apart from a few from UK. I do believe the board tried to sign players, but either the player fucked off or the club fucked off on us. Guess we'll manage when HBA gets back though. There are plenty of goals to atleast get the same amount as last season. Hopefully we will do well play wise this season. Strenghten more over the two new windows and really start a challange for europe.

Keeping both Forster and Krul was never going to happend. A 3rd choice keeper is just about right. Will probably barely get any game time at all, hopefully. Right now I'm quite glad we stuck with Krul instead of Forster.

Watching from youtube, he got more to offer going forwards. At the back is where he is lacking slightly it seems? Maybe the fast premier league suits him better. More direct play w/o the fannying about looking for the opening playing with the winger for the better position. He sure got pace, he got height and physique to challange in the air. He will be first choice alongside Coloccini at leftback aswell so he might develope quite nicely in our team. Hopefully he will be what everybody expected him to be in 2-3 years time.

At the end of the season I bet this is the player we are all most pleased to have on our books. Look at the potential quality in 2 years time when theese new players in the new 5 year plan has bedded in. Obv Barton, Nolan, Smith era is over. France has arrived, with Santon future lb/rb for italy playing for us we will be massive if we can build on this. Get a high class center forward, some more quality in depth I bet we can challange for a top 6 spot in 2 years time.

With Simpson on 2 years left? that might be an actuality come next summer. I'm pretty pleased with getting Santon in, if he plays right back in the future the better if we can swap Simpson for a quality left back.

This lad really seems like a player able to lead the line, Getting the feeling of Drogba-esque. With him upfront I would be really comfortable with palying 4-3-3 as he would be able to keep hold of the ball at the same time beeing a threat upfront. The other of our forwards either possesses one or the other wich isn't really ideal for a solo man upfront. GET IN!

Don't think we'll be in for him, considering we've allreayd bought two wide players in Marv and Obie. Ben Arfa could be deployed out wide at games aswell where we are going to forwarads to push for goals aswell. And thats w/o calculating Fergusons capabilities out wide too. Guess striker and a defender is what I mostly hope for. Onouha or a pure left back with height to supplement coloccini.

Obertans pace is invaluable at this minute. If we get back to a slowpoke on the right flank our team will be stripped of pace. Rather have Raylor on right back for his delivery then on right wing. Obertan will get us goals this season, for one reason only and thats pace.

I think a lot of people are missing this exact point. We haven't gone out and splashed cash everywhere but we've gotten some very good signings for very reasonable prices. I'm excited to see how they pan out - a few of them are already looking like absolute steals (especially Cabaye). Moneyball. People would be much more satisfied if one of them cost 15m instead.

I think people forget that enrique most often also went inside for the overlap when he played with us. That Santon is right footed in that regard isn't a bad thing at all. He's 20 and can still learn to cross with his left foot as Gutierrez has in at a much later stage of his career. However, if Santon walks inside for the overlap, he can still turn to shoot, or he can smack the ball in with his left.

Hopefully it will crash and Nolan Roux is the backup choice. Got little belief in this lad. All his goals was quite dodgy sunday league goals tbf. Atleast from youtube. Might be able to show some more in actual play but who knows. Still preferr Roux or Papiss Cisse before this lad.

My dream has went from a leftback and striker to two fullbacks really. Think we would benefit from it heavily. Santon and Cissokho in and we would be a very fluid side with two good and fast fullbacks with ability to come around and cross. Same time play a passing game retain possession to get the ball in the box. Both best and Ba are striker able to when delivery are present to nick alot of goals from tap ins and around the box shots. We also got a few goals from midfield this season as I do believe Obertan got the speed to be essential on the counter along with HBA. Two fast fullbacks like Santon and Cissokho will add to counter attack availability aswell.

If he can keep his goalscoring up. And I do bet he will have alot more chances once HBA comes back and the new fullback is here and allows us to throw more into attack. Best really is lethal in the box, he shows it game after game. Kind of Van Nistelrooyish. If he can keep fit over the course of a season and we can get the delivery for him. Why couldn't he be a 15-20 goals a season striker?
