  1. Agreed! He's utter shit. He's incapable of hitting one decent pass. And he got no football intelligence: dribbles instead of passing or passes to late. Knowing Villa's salary policy, he's probably well paid too. No thanks!

    Alan Pardew

It's double standards, they'd both signed contracts with the club within months. It's a big difference between who initiated the contract talks too. Carroll demanded a new contract asap. He was not willing to wait until summer. In Tiote's case it was the club who initiated a contract negotiation because a) he was on shit salary (unlike Carroll) b) he's been taking PL with storm and c) other clubs were beginning to show interest. So the club wanted to make sure that come summer, Tiote will not hand in a transfer request due to low wages compared to what he's offered from the many clubs that will come after him.

Spot on madras. Although Tiote's contract could also be seen as a move to fend of potential suitors. Carroll should have waited until end of season. He'd only been playing playing PL-football for 4 months but still insisted to be the top earner, which is a ludicrous demand..
  4. Of course, Sholadinhio it is. Stupid me
  5. On paper that's a stunning set up, if HBA and Taarabt dont' dribble too much. Haven't watched Gervinho, but I've read that he's inefficient. Gameiro on the other hand is known for his finishing skills. The problem with Gameiro is his size. Your formation requires an attacker capable of holding the ball until others overlap him. In other words, we need a Carroll v. 2.0 beta.
  6. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/newcastle-united/nufc-news/2011/03/29/nufc-eye-move-for-qpr-star-adel-taarabt-72703-28421386/ His technique is sublime. But he's too fond of the ball. If we could transform him into a team player, he could be a fantastic acquisition.
  7. From that article : He's managed to reduce the debt from 100 to 17. If it's true I'm very impressed.. That should put us in a really good position, especially when we consider that our closest rivals (Villa, Everton) are struggling..

    Players in public

He lives on the edge. The kind of risky outside the box thinking this club needs. Bet the suave f***er had an extra shot of espresso as well. Aye he looked pretty dapper & had a bit of a tan like. Well he has just come back from Belgium. Scouting Romelo Lukaku Not likely. He will be too expensive...

    Buying to Sell

You're missing the picture imo. NUFC's value depends on results. And you don't get results without have proper squad. So if we stayed up, selling Bassong would not automatically mean £8 mill profit because the squad value is reduced accordingly. Who wants to take over a club that's placed on the lower tier of the table and with a rubbish squad? If you on the other hand have a squad filled with promising prospects it's much easier to sell the club, if that's what MA wants. The only way MA is going to be able to make money on this club is if he manage to establish the club on the upper half of the table, preferably with young and promising players. Selling the best prospects will not get him there. Although Carroll was the exception that confirms the rule. The offer was too good to turn down. Also, buying cheap and young doesn't necessary imply that MA is interested in reselling them with profit. He might see this strategy as a way to manage risks. As long as players bought are in that category he's not throwing money out the window. If a player doesn't succeed, it's likely that MA is able to get most of his money back through a sale. That probability is on the other hand reduced if that particular player is old, was an expensive buy and is on a high salary.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Please ip-ban this man, fucking infidel!
  11. RVN never depended on speed. He's a classic poker and a master in avoiding offsides. So that will be 35 doesn't matter much. But buying him will require more from our wide men and from central our midfield. He needs good crossers from first, and good breakthrough balls from the latter. If we're able to fix those challenges before next season, RVN could be a decent buy..

Had just the same thought myself. Those pictures will seriously test my heterosexuality..
  13. They're playing some good football too...
  14. He doesn't have the same speed or general movements compared to Doyle.

    Whoaa! Let the Wankfest begin..!
  17. Imo, everything depends on Enrique. If he's back, we will probably see Ferguson on lw, Jonas on rw and Barton as cm. I think that's a pretty good lineup, that should take care of Wolfes. Especially since they're lacking Doyle and that central defender.
  18. Have I ever spoken about EARLIER seasons..It's pretty obvious from what I've written that I'm referring to the current season only.
  19. It's because every single one of his posts is long, drawn-out faux intellectual bollocks disguised as deep footballing insight. When infact, as proven from above, he's probably plucking stuff from sites likes zonalmarking, stetching it out into inane drivel and passing it off as absolute fact. I actually identified those problems when I watched Chelsea play. But since you obviously decided that my opinions were of no use, I checked if Zonalmarking concurred, which they did. I have no "deep" football insight, but I hate mucky football: Player that don't see the beautiful in playing simple and effective football. Players that must dribble extra, instead of immediately passing to an opponent in better positions. That may result in 4 min of brilliance, but the rest of the game could as a result be utter shit.
  20. Thank you I've no problem that people disagree. But I would appreciate that people actually bother to write WHY they disagree, instead of labeling other opinions as shit.. Everything went smoothly in the beginning of the season.. But I think that my diagnosis some a great extent explain why they started to struggle. Trying to play everything in the middle is pretty hopeless if the opponent has good stoppers, a solid DM and generally a good physique. The best thing to do in such situations is to create width, distribute the ball to the side where the opponent is unbalanced and constantly bombarding the box with crossers. When you have Drogba and Anelka on your team, that will result in many chances.
  21. This is taken from zonalmarkings analysis of Chelsea Man U. Again, what I previously mentioned about Chelsea not having width in their play... Surprise since nobody moves. They're often reliable on some individual brilliance, rather than a planned style of play.. When you have a strong attacker like Drogba, the best thing is to have solid wing players who're able to provide him with good crosses. What's the point to have a box-attacker if you have wings that drifts inside.. As I said, Chelsea doesn't need Torres,. What they need is quick wide men who doesn't drift inside, who create width, unlike Malouda and Ramires..That would have created plenty of crossers which both Anelka and Drogba could have exploited. Conclusion, this article mentions everything I've posted above..
