I agree it's going to fall flat on it's arse like, but cancelling would be more damaging to TMG than having a failed FIRST attempt. If it fails and barely anyone does it, so be it, dust themselves off and crack on with their aim. Be persistent and ignore the idiots who try to belittle them. People who don't do a late walk in or boycott because 'support the team/3 wins/blah blah' need to get a grip. See the bigger picture.

This is the reason. The vast majority of the lads I know who I used to do European always, Southampton on a Wednesday night etc with don't go anymore and they've been replaced with, well let's just say, a different type of supporter. Customers. To me the boycott was never going to work, regardless of the past 2 results, it all comes down to the fact that their are too many superfans claiming they won't be stopped supporting the club they love, this isn't the fuckin club they love any more. I always say each to their own but it's getting harder and harder to fathom why anyone still believes they should just do nothing and keep turning up.

Add that to the 2 wins (2 whole wins!) and it's exactly what's happening. A failed boycott followed by a few players bought in January and any momentum is completely gone.

imo he's done what can be expected, IE not very much given the start of season fixture list. We expected a couple of better results off some teams, but even then....those teams had done more than stand still in the summer.

Having to go fall back on the wage bill as some sort of proof that "it's not really remarkable if Rafa doesn't get backed and keeps us up". Weird.
