The strikers and winger were pretty much imperative. The rest we could really, really do with. 3 games in and Jonas and Shola have already had starts, and academy lad has played at left back, and we've been an injury/suspension away from having to play Mike Williamson and fucking Rob Elliott. But aye, I'm off my fucking nut like. So then the strikers and winger are what we actually need then, the rest we could so with if we win the qatari lottery. my god. Defoe can make things happen on his own while Cisse can't. He doesn't really need support or even much service.

I'd be starting Defoe over Cisse. Defoe doesn't need half the team holding his hand to score a goal. He's also a consistent goal threat from outside the box.

We looked good for the last 10 mins because that's the first concerted spell of attacking we've had in ages. Going off what's been said on here I was expecting great things but we were just doing what other teams do every week. It's certainly an improvement but then a shot on target also would have been.
