Just got back in. Pure apathy. First of all, I was sat pretty much behind the goal, don't want to sound like I'm slagging off our fans here, but there wasn't as much noise as is usually present at away games, which was disappointing. Guess there's not much to make noise about at the moment though. Shola was horrendous. Williamson didn't even seem awake and Tav had one of his "miss" games. He's still so hit and miss, desperately needs a loan. Thought Dummet looked good when he came on, fizzed in one lovely cross with his left foot. Ranger did more with his time than Shola, for me he has to be above Ameobi in the pecking order, despite what we all think of the guy. Overall I'm not really too upset, can't get myself emotionally involved with our games as of late, which is a blessing in disguise. Rolling out the cliché, we can concentrate on the league now. I pray this season is a speedbump and we can try and get back on track next year, but first we have to secure our survival, starting next week.

Come on boys, no reason we should fear losing here. I'm ready and raring to go, catch you all on the other side!

Gona be Shola, probably be quite decent as well. Guy's intelligent.

Same here actually! First trip to SJP in a few years, looking forward to it even more now!

http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m2apeem1w01rqfhi2o1_400.gif I don't know who that is. All i know is i hate him. Looks like he'd make a decent tranny though, pretty feminine looking. Nohomo

Yeah it's comparable to your bird leaving you for some flash cunt, then said bird parading around and forgetting you were even alive. >tfw nogf

totally, never liked him that much, obviously a great player but never truly felt much love towards him.
-
ouch, and I thought me getting up at 9am was bad enough

As long as people simply put nohomo after writing something outlandishly gay, then we'll be alright.
-
Seriously, this shit has got to stop. Nohomo

How did you manage to find Debuchy looking ridiculously innocent?

My biggest fear as well is that players will want to leave. I've actually lost all confidence in Pardew now, the only reason I want him to stay is because I don't think we would find an appropriate replacement. Grim.

If you have played football at even the lowest amatuer league levels you would know that football is not a simple game and that drills, strategies and philosophies play a huge part. It is only a simple game.... on the playground when there are no refs, and a couple of jumpers for posts! Having a game plan and philosophy is pretty simple stuff though. As I said above, worrying about opposition is where it gets sticky and needlessly complex. sorry to use another picture but; http://u.goal.com/242800/242895hp2.jpg Even at the most basic level, you have to start preparing your defence to face threats of opposition players, or, "fuck it, high line against one of the quickest players in the division"? I don't even rate Walcott but its suicidal inviting him to play on the shoulder... This is the most basic example i could use, or for more in depth look at how Inter beat Barca on the way to champions league. They were fairly attacking on the way, but when they needed to, they were staunch against Barca and played in a manner that they probably wouldnt have done against any other team. There are exceptions when you must realise what other players can do to you, but I would have thought it would be painfully obvious to a top flight manager to not play a high line against a speed merchant. Again, it's not complicated, you still play to your own strengths and let the other team worry about you, just be aware of what certain players can do.

There's a great deal of complex thinking and preparation that goes into a match of professional football. Go read a book or something. Have you played? You can tell me to read all the books you like, pouring too much thought into other teams and their tactics and worrying about what they are going to do is not a good thing imo. Don't get me wrong, preparation is key. Vital in fact, but it has to be preparation to play to YOUR strengths. This is what I mean, it's a simple game it really is, don't spend days worrying about opposition.

Do me a favour. How hard is it to tell a striker to play in a striker's role and attacking forwards, (Obertan and Marveaux), to play offensively and create chances, while also tracking back when needed. Football is a simple game, people try and over complicate it far too much with intricate tactics and instructions.

He is good at what he's good at though - Europe, slaughtering mackems and ten minute bursts when you need something different. He is a genuinely good option from the bench. If the manager is picking him to play for 90 minutes, that's his fault, not Shola's. I thought he did everything asked of him tonight tbh and don't see the point having a go at him really. I've just been having an argument with one of my mates who's a massive Shola fan. His argument was that Shola played well/alright tonight. The problem with Shola playing well is he does it to his own standards and merits. Even when he does play well - that is him holding the ball up, winning headers, being a 'muscle/nuisance' player. Even him doing this and doing it well doesn't stop him being desperately static, slow and generally not very condusive to a team that wants to play football. The obvious answer tonight with Ba gone was Cisse through the middle with Marveaux and Obertan either side, take advantage of Cisse's movement and talent with the two creative players possessing a modicum of form. Don't fucking put Shola in there FFS, the immobile lump. Still got me fucking annoyed that has, to the point where I haven't gone to bed and it's 2:22am. I just don't get it. Agree with all of that, unreal that Cisse was thrown out wide yet again. Really do wonder where Pardew's head is sometimes.
-
Getting tired of saying it, but he got it wrong again today. You can't start Shola through the middle over Cisse, fuck off with the preparation bollocks.
-
Hopefully it was an obvious troll comment, people can't actually think like that, right?
-
His celebration was class, love the guy and look forward to seeing him flourish in his favoured position again.
-
Going to this, not expecting much at all. What a grim outlook, really is starting to feel like that relegation season at the moment.
-
How. How was that a free kick for them. Joke of a game, we didn't deserve shit. Shola starting ffs.

What the fuck is wrong with this ref.
