Seriously what is the point of playing Krafth as part of 3 centrebacks. He has the physique of a full-back so he gets bullied, and he is terrible on the ball. This game as every game was crying out for Schar to bring out the ball with some composure, and if you're not going with him you have to put fede in there who won't get absolutely bullied by the 2 big strikers.

We need 2 new midfielders in January, they are just traffic cones, especially Longstaff.

Ref was also absolutely shite, we got lucky the VAR team wasnt on a coffee break when they scored the 2nd. But we need our players to also highlight shit to the ref. Milivojevic should have been sent off twice, yet our players dont react and point this out to the referee at all. When Lascelles took a yellow the whole palace team was crying out, and got a cheap-ish yellow for someone on our team right after.

Still would have taken a point before the game, but thats because we are terrible

We really are dreadful on the ball, Ritchie, Fraser, Kraft, Hayden and Longstaff have all just given the ball away for free at some point.

We have been only slightly less dreadful than the referee. I count 3 and a half yellow cards for Milivojevic he has just ignored.

I think we have ok centrebacks and I think Jamaal Lascelles is an ok centreback who gives us something more in terms of leadership. I think Varane/Ramos would struggle in our setup. You have a gung-ho left winger playing left back charging around and doing random stuff all season. And you have absolutely no protection from the midfield. The Ndombele goal is a classic Bruces NUFC goal. One simple pass lets him through to charge in on the centreback and he does a good finish.

The lack of cohesion even when we play a midfield 3 is staggering, often you see Longstaff/Hayden pressing up to the midfield circle whilst Willock for example is in no-mans land. 1 simple pass and the midfield is cut through, happens every single game. I've also noticed for years how if the opposition winger does a cutback to a midfielder to shoot like the Bruno Fernandes Goal, we are never ready for it and he only gets charged down if we are lucky to have someone standing close by.

We also have a coach who consistently refuses to play Schar who is the only player with ability to play it out from the back. We should have kept Lejeune and had at least one of those two in the first 11, but Bruce is just clueless, if we were going to let a centreback go I'd have gone with Clark.

Anyway the Schar/Lascelles/Fernandez/Clark centreback stable are more than adequate in a lower premier league team, and I hope we don't focus too much on recruitment in this area in January. As i feel getting a proper midfield, left back and another striker for when Wilson is injured should be the priorities.

It just really pisses me off when the media just blames the "championship back 4" whenever we let in shit goals. The problem is so much deeper and it can be solved with a good management team that understands football. Both Schar and Lascelles were rumored to be going for 20m plus when we had a proper manager coaching and managing these players.

But surely we are not paying him 8m a year?

As quite the FM nerd thats only in regards to re-registering players for champions league, i think its 3 max then. For registering a new squad for the english competitions they might be cup-tied or something, but there is no number limit.

After February I'd like to see this first team, assuming they have a new manager in which i expect they will very shortly:

Assuming we spend big on a new striker, we need one more and even though i love Wilson i dont see the point in getting another "backup". Let them fight it out for that spot. Hopefully the striker will be someone prolific like Immobile or whatever.

Central midfield is my 2nd big priority, seeing as i dont think any of them are good enough. Would like a new pairing, with the longstaffs and hayden as backup. Ship out Shelvster and Hendrick.

Fullbacks seem a priority now, but you wonder whether there is a decent player in Lewis if a coach with a brain is here. Also think Manquillo can do an alright job, and the cbs are alright and not a huge liability or priority to replace.

Would like a new winger on the opposite side of Maxi with end-product, i see Chiesa has been mentioned. I love Almiron but i think he prefers playing through the middle offensively, and i dont see it working very well with him and Willock in the same side, but him sure he will still get many games.

Thats 6 new players in January i would like, not exactly Ashley-esque any more.

Would have liked Mourinho for the Robson link, but honestly i just dont want a negative dickhead like him or Conte. It was so boring watching them fight eachother every press conference when they were here. Loved having dignified Rafa.

Important not to waste the money on personalities like Michael Owen.

Is it just me or was Willock playing holding midfielder while Hayden and Longstaff were bombing over and leaving us vulnerable. Just no plan whatsoever.

Joelinton has been really good to be honest, but i think it's more of a fact that Leeds have a really really weak defence. Bit embarrasing getting bullied by Joe.

Seriously though. Hayden is the only holding midfielder in the squad, and he is playing cb. Even Longstaff is more of a box to box or attacking midfielder.  Every match they just get 3 or 4 cutbacks and can stand and have free pops at goal.

Also our passing from back is shite, yet we persist in not playing Schar. Also great selling Yedlin. He wasnt perfect but he could actually run back when they counter, our corners is more of an opportunity for the other team.

It's just absolute chaos. Just depend on Saint maximin to win the game for us.
